Obviously Jack has known Tia for quite a while, I am sure he went to her to getthe compass to help him find the Pearl after the mutney by Barbossa
but what could he have traded her at that time I wonder, maybe she wanted something that wasent a material object
what if she traded the compass to jack ensuring him it was a way to find his precious pearl for one night with him?maybe thats what he meant by the line "its me front I am worried about " before they went into Tias Hut

here's what i think:
I think Jack met Tia when he brought the 99 slaves to set them free. They are the people living around Tia's hut, so Jack either knew her before he set those slaves free, or met her while setting them free there.
Jack and Barbossa went back to Tia's hut TOGETHER after Jack was branded a pirate. Tia sent them to Davy Jones, to raise their ship. It was re-named Black Pearl after the light and dark of Jack and Barbossa. Jack bartered the compass off Tia at this point. In exchange for her services, Jack made a deal with Tia. This deal has yet to be fulfilled by Jack, actually... because he owes her a debt he will have to repay in 3... (which IMO is setting her free from her human form, a task he can accomplish because his father teague was a member of the pirate brethran, as i keep saying LOL and may be delusional about).
I think if Jack and Tia were lovers at one point, it was more of a persuasionary tactic on Jack's part than outright payment for anything.
We still dont know whether Jack knew Tia from a long time ago, or met her after the Wicked Wench was sunk, but i dont think it really matters.
It's also important to remember that at one time, Jack and Barbossa were trusted friends, and Barbossa also has a history with Tia.

I think it lasted longer than like one night.i think it may have been a few years.

I think he wasn't with her for the first 6..then he was with her for a few years maybe till about8 or 9...I think he then started to become the pirate we see..the cowardly, depressed one..

Sounds true....cause Tia did ressurect Barbossa....cause why else would she have done it...like she says in the leaked script...there are many debters to me, and jack be one of them, how can i very well collect collect from the dead.....or something like that!! There is a big reason why she wants both BARBOSSA AND JACK ALIVE... enough to bring them both back from the dead! and i think it's a dept that they both owe her either involving DAVY, the COMPASS and RELEASING HER FROM HER HUMAN FORM!!!
I dont know... i mean, we know Beckett has spies everywhere. that would be my best guess.
plus i also think the legends of captain jack have gone around.
or, according to LovelyOne, beckett has been mooching information off Tia. this would make sense if you look at it like this: before going to Port Royal, Beckett stopped on the Pelagostos island where he traded with them (which is why we see English wigs, fans, and paprika bearing the EITC seal) and then slid over to Tia's side of the island and had a conversation with her or something.

I think he found it hard to resist her to be honest. She is a goddess after all...he's like "YEA i'm screwing a goddess"..but in the end that can only make him feel empty..(Odyseus again) 😂
I think she probably loved him but he didnt in return..she may have held on to him very tight and so he's forced to become weaker etc
yeah i totally think tia loves jack. but then, i think everyone should love jack.
it would make sense that tia is in love with jack though. why wouldnt she be? women are always in love with the men they cant quite have, ya know?
and since jack is mortal, and probably never really hard core fell for her, that would make him all the more alluring to her.
plus, that way, she and will can both go off and be immortal together after leaving the people they truly love (jack and liz) together on earth. 😄
I found out somewhere that jack got the compass 7 years prior. But um wait. I dont understand.
8 years ago jack was marooned. it took 2 years for jack to find barbossa and find a ship to get to his pearl so total of 10 there..
Ok so what was the black pearl doing there 8 years ago in cotbp when liz found will. There was fire and crap-was it Barbossa controlling the ship then...? uhhhg dammit I need paper and pencil to calculate.
