She had an English accent in the Total Recall remake with a fake US accent, kinda like in real life, damn hot.
It may have been terribly bad but I was way too distracted man!
Back on Topic, I have a feeling Doakes Ghost will appear to Dexter next season as part of his developing conscience.
Spoiler:
(didn't his wife appear in a previous season?)
She stayed for a flashback during season 5's premiere. So far only Harry and Brian have appeared as imaginary friends. If Dexter had any lingering regrets or hangups about Doakes, they would have manifested by now. Bringing them out in the last season would be shoddy writing, and would come off us as nostalgic fan service and cameo-fodder.
Glad that arsonist thing didn't go on too long. If they can focus solely on the remaining two threads, the season can end with a bang.
Though am I the only one questioning Dexter's whole "It's not me, it's the one armed man the dark passenger"? Up until now it always seemed like he knew he was responsible, and the passenger was just another side to himself. This episode he was treating it like a separate entity.
The writers seem to have taken a liking to introducing new character developments for Dexter every season, and promptly forgetting about them next season. Acceptance of who he is in season 2, communicating with another in season 3, grasping for normality in season 4, understanding who he is in season 5, changing who he is in season 6, and now what seems to be a mishmash of all of them in season 7.
I'm all for introducing new personality developments in a character, but with Dexter they never go anywhere. He still feels like the same person from season 1, just more confused about himself. He actually felt more rounded and put together in the beginning. Instead of the character progressing emotionally or spiritually, he's just had a series of revelations or themes dumped on him, but nothing ultimately comes of them. Actually, even though Dexter's character has become more complex, he's become more boring---a cascade of development beginnings and introductions, but no permanent and visible resolutions. It's why Deb's my favorite. Her character has actually changed and grown over 6 years.
Yadda yadda yadda killed the lobster bisque.
His personality's more complex in that he has more issues, problems, and possibilities to deal with. That's expected with any drama, but unlike most shows, Dexter's don't go anywhere. It's like every season or two someone hits the reset button, but doesn't clear out the cookies, so all these pop-ups keep bringing up related issues, we skim over them, then close the window. Rinse repeat.
Holy FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK Laguerta!
Who else thought that
Spoiler:
maybe Deb poisoned herself to split up Dex and Hannah? Notice in the hospital Deb was telling him how Hannah came to her house to tell her to "back off" when it really was a lot friendlier than that and more like extending an olive branch and "can't we all just get along?", but she made it come off like she was being threatened. She leads Dexter along that path, he finds a conveniently placed spiked bottle of water in the car when Hannah's MO is usually a lot more subtle and careful than that. It's completely against her established character to be that sloppy and leave such obvious evidence.
This episode was kind of dull and stupid in some places until the end. I am intrigued for next week though, so thats pretty good.
Totally saw
Spoiler:coming. Pretty predictable imo.
the guy who had dex's mother killed being a trap by laguerta
Yes I would have to agree with you Neph in a way I think it made more sense to go with that storyline then it actually really being Hannah.
Feel bad for Quinn.
Pumped for the finale and final season.
