Tell it to Marvel, I'm only conveying the on panel illustrated depictions. lulz. There were an Infinite amount of Captain Britain Corps,
Jaspers waves his hand,
and only a few are left.
That's what happened. 🙂
i see that point but when i read the comic i didnt get the sense that every corp member from every corner of the omniverse was in attendance, its just that those who showed up most of them got wiped out
Originally posted by Mr MasterYeah, they called them 'splinter realms' in that arc...
Archy took out nearly every demonic realm right?I read this arc, but I don't remember.
I do remember these ill black sharp pieces of death raining down within those dimensions,
and cutting/killing everything it came across. nice.
Archy was pretty much eating them like candy, before he was stopped.

Archy killed two hundred thousand of them in the first second of the battle.

Mr. Master do you know the currently size of the Marvel Omniverse?

How many Multiverses does it contain
But then we have Timelines (a cosmos for every moment in a whole Universe's life time)
And,
every whole Universe has the potential to manifest an endless number of Timelines,
one for every second of Time,
and while each Timeline may begin as a baby/tiny universe,
with Time, it will continue to expand, until it becomes a whole Universe of its own.
Then it too, can produce Timelines that will become part of the Multiverse as well.
These Timelines (possible new universes)
do not exist unless the specific time period they represent is visited,
or harnessed, or exited by a resident of said Timeline.
For instance, the year 1300bc. of the 616 Universe, is a possible Timeline/Reality,
it can become a Timeline/Reality (universe) if the year 1300 bc is visited by a time traveller.
The instant the Time Traveller breaks through the Space/Time continuum,
and enters the year 1300bc,
Time/Space will create a pocket reality to recreate the year 1300bc (like a copy)
These "copies" (baby Timelines) can be significant to thier Parents (whole universe).
If the Time Traveller transcended Time/Space properly,
that Timeline can remain existing and thus with Time expand into a whole Universe,
but if that Time Traveller transcended Time/Space improperly,
that Timeline can cause a destructive chain reaction of Multiversal proportions.
If it doesn't reach that climax, and the Time Traveller leaves that Timeline,
the Timeline/Reality (baby universe) will immediately die.
Same rule applies to the year 1301, 1302 and so on,
and even beyond that cause there's Time in weeks, days, hours, minutes and even seconds.
This is one example of how Timelines are created.
The moral is while there may only be 100's of Multiverses,
there's a potential of there being at least a near-infinite amount.
But that's a stretch, and I doubt it will ever happen, actually I'm sure it won't.

and how would it compare to the "Classic" Beyonders giant "beyond realm" universe?
I made this comparison before,
first off, the Prime Multiverse was and is Infinite.
....................................................................................
According to Jim Shooter (editor in chief at the time)
writer and creator of the Beyonder and Secret Wars,
Beyonder's Infinite Universe was like an Ocean,
while the Infinite Multiverse was a like Drop of water in comparison.
In terms of quantifiable numbers,
that's somewhere over 20-25 Quintillions times larger.
1 Million Thousands = 1 Million
1 Billion = 1000 Millions
1 Trillion = 1000 Billions
1 Quadrillion = 1000 Trillions
1 Quintillion = 1000 Quadrillion
How many Drops of Water in the Ocean?
This study was made by,
New Hampshire's prestigious Keene State University
and Frostburb State University.
....................................................................................
That would mean,
the Beyond Realm would've been able to fit
atleast over 20 Quintillion infinite Multiverses within it.
The Omniverse of today contains several Hundred infinite Multiverses today,
but defnitely potentially more.
We can see the difference.

According to the comic there were:"THIS Morning, there were more Captains, it seemed,
than there were Stars in the sky ---- one for every Dimension in the Sidereal String, <~~~ ✅
Now, that proud corps is little more than a ghost of what once was."
......................................................................................A Corp representive of every Universe in the Omniverse was there against Jaspers.
The Omniverse is not only infinite, but is still expanding.

Infinite.Definitely 100's,
I read once I believe at Marvel.com there were 616 Multiverses so far,
but I'm not completely sure cause I can't find the page anymore, I'll keep looking. But then we have Timelines (a cosmos for every moment in a whole Universe's life time)

The other scan is the actual narrator talking,
here we have Captain Britain basically saying the same thing: (same difference)
"The Corps is near to annihilated,
yet the Omniverse still needs its champions,
hard as it may seem, we'll simply have to start again"
🙂
Hey I just want to point out that the multiverse only contains a "Nigh-Infinite" amount of universes... AKA a large number of them.
And since the other multiverses share no concepts with the prime multiverse, why would they have captain britains? It would violate their very definition.
So based on this it seems that there were only a "Nigh-Infinite" number of captain britains.

Shooter talking about the Marvel Universe entire:
"Odd thing He had noticed about our Universe"
"Namely that it is Many-Layered-composed of a seemingly Endless Number of Dimensions,
indeed, it is a Multiverse"
...........................................................................
2001 and beyond:
Not only is the Multiverse Infinite, but so are the Universes within them:
"and where One Eternity would ensure a Boundless Universe,
a Multi-Eternity would ensure a Boundless Multi-verse"
...........................................................................
K, you been knowing this, cut the jokes. stoned
...........................................................................
This is besides the point,
the Captain Britain Corps are appointed across the Omniverse,
always have been since back, back in the day.
One for every brane in the sidereal string.
Unconscious/Sentientless Concepts outside the Multiverse
has nothing to do with the Corps,
that's only significant concerning the cosmic hierarchy.
So we're still at Jaspers killing a near-infinite number of Captain Britain Corps,
with a wave of his hand.
An Infinite amount of Corps attacked Jaspers,
and with a gesture,
Jaspers only left a few alive.
Very impressive.

Well if the "Nigh-Infinite" scan is no longer valid,
I guess you have to take the position that not all Eternities have the same conscience.
The scan isn't invalid, just that Eternity isn't nigh-infinite anymore,
Eternity is infinite. (everything else is legit in that story)
All Eternitys in the Multiverse share one consciousness.
I don't see how what I just presented changes that fact.
In fact,
the scene itself is self explanatory,
"Multi-Eternity" ... One Eternity as the sum of all.

well i guess there was no way they could fit an infinte amount of corp members on a few panels so i guess it is what it is 😎
I just stumbled across something that Mr. M and several others should find pretty interesting. It turns out that the Marvel Multiverse DOESN'T have an infinite number of universes within it.... it has MORE than an infinite number(look at the middle narrative box in the last panel of the first scan for the actual statement regarding it)....
