That makes sense in the real world,
but there are different levels of "Infinity" in Marvel comics.

In Marvel, "infinity" can increase beyond "infinity."
..............................................................................................

The Universes are infinite because they are all expanding,
because the Omniverse itself is expanding,
and all Universes are part of one Omniverse that expands into an infinity beyond infinity,
(as Warlock put it)

It's a cosmic wheel that spins for ever and ever,
from birth to death, to re-birth and so on in a repetitive eternal pattern.

So then it's not really infinite

In Marvel, words don't always mean what words actually mean. In Marvel Infinite is not really infinite. Its a word they use cause they like the sound of it.

Same with Omniverse.

Same with indestructable; Invulnerable; omnipotent; boundless

In otherwords its all hyperbole.

What?

You don't like the infinity + 1 concept? 😛

Mr. M, do you have any scans of Abysss?

Well Marvel says it is, so I don't know what else to tell ya friend.
(and concerning Marvel comics that's the only voice I listen to)

Thanx for your opinion.

But according to Marvel, withIN their comics,
there are "levels of Infinity"
(this isn't an opinion/idea) it was depicted and stated on panel (in Marvel comics)
.................................................................................................

Kubik says,

"Our power is as nothing to the Celestials"

Kosmos replies,

"But Kubik, do we not possess Infinite Power (Omnipotence)

Kubik retorts,

"Yes, Our might is Infinite. But there are Levels of Infinity"
.................................................................................................

Not only are there Levels of Infinity
but there's actually an Infinite number of levels:

Kubik finishes,

"Thus are demonstrated TWO LEVELS of Infinity,

there are of course, an Infinite number MORE"
.................................................................................................

While I respect all opinions,
let's keep in Marvel comics yall. 🙂

If anyone disagrees with this Marvel fact,
take it up with Marvel and don't spam the thread please. (not particularly you Cresh)

Circular reasoning and appeals to authority. It is hyperbole. It's fine if the characters think they're omnipotent or infinite.. but if there's a character above them that's more powerful then its no different from a ten year old thinking he's all that. We know he isn't, but he'll say he is.

Cause there are not multiple levels of infinity no mater how marvel misuses words. It's like when Chris Claremont originally wrote Storm as flying on solar winds. But then he later retconned it into using her jet pack as solar winds were not winds in outer space like he first thought, but discharges of super heated plasma from the sun which would have incinerated everything in the area.

I replied to you already Cresh, and all you canreturn with is "it is hyperbole."

Fine, as you wish, but in this thread we keep it in Marvel Comics.
So please, don't spam the thread with the same personal belief. 🙂

If it isn't stated in Marvel comics, I really don't care about outside opinions.

What is stated in Marvel comics is that there are levels of Infinity,
you don't agree, fine.

Here's Marvel telling us again in yet another title:

Dr Strange on Infinity:

"the very Concept of Infinity is relative,

Numbers are Infinite, so are odd Numbers, yet by definition,

there are Twice as many Numbers as there are odd Numbers ...

One Infinity is included within a larger Infinity"

This has nothing to do with what I posted.

That was the best explanation they could come up with? That isn't even mathmatically correct. Actually the Odd Numbers are PART of the infinite set of integers that start at .00000000000000000000000000000000000000001 to the infnite power.

Don't be so specific in a fictional creation.

Besides,
the one Kubik gave was more intricate:

Kosmos says,

"Infinity by it's very nature is unsurpassable."

Kubik replies,

"Consider then the Set called Whole Numbers - 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on, is it not Infinite?"

Kosmos answers,

"Obviously."

Kubik retorts,

"Then consider the Set called Even Numbers - 2, 4, 6, 8 and so on, how long is it?

Kosmos responds,

"Why Infinite of course."

Kubik with wisdom,

"Half of Infinity is still Infinity, and the same would be true of the Set of Odd Numbers?

Kosmos answers,

"Of course."
........................................................................................

Kubik explains,

"Both Sets are Infinite, and yet the Set of Whole Numbers contains BOTH Subsets,

and is therefore TWICE as Large as either Subset Alone"

........................................................................................

Kubik finishes,

"Thus are demonstrated TWO LEVELS of Infinity,

there are of course, an INFINITE number MORE"

🙂

The only thing is that they assume one can divide infinity into pieces. YOu cannot. It's Theortically and logically Impossible. To divide something means to seperate it. You cannot seperate infinity becuz it would have no where to go but into itself. If you have a pie, and cut it in half, you pull it apart and it has definite beginings and endings. Thus you have divided a pie. You cannot divide infinity becuz there is no beginning or end to divide. It cannot seperate becuz it would seperate unto itself. There can be no parts of infinity.

It is also theoretically and logically impossible for two beings to have evolved from cubes and have the power to manipulate reality, but there they are. The simple fact is Marvel makes its own rules. If it says there are levels of infinity, then there are.

Go ahead and try to dissect every ridiculous, impossible feat or statement made in DC,
see if you don't drive yourself mad.

Again, this is a Marvel thread, we keep it in Marvel Comics.
Real World logic is absolutely meaningless here.

If you have on panel/bio Marvel proof that contradicts what I posted, post it,
if not, please do not spam, thanx friend. 🙂

👆 Thanx CD.

I won't debate this matter any further, I'll just use this post as my reply. 😄
