The Present being the 616 Reality,
the Past and Future being Alternate Realities/Universes,
the Future also has "possible Alternates" ... that don't necessarily always diverge into an existing Reality because of an interference/prevention that took place in the Present 616 Universe.
eg. Phoenix amputating the possible "Here Comes Tomorrow" Future of 616.
Another is Galactus nullifying himself and the possible Future Reality/Universe of 616
in the Black Celestial arc.

Because the only reason there's any significance to their existence is because (Future-616) Cap came through the Rift, if Cap leaves, then that Universe (the year 1602 of the 616 Reality) becomes pointless since it would become just an area of Space caught in a Timeloop repeating the year 1602 without purpose.
Reed finds the Temporal Rip in the Fabric of Time & Space in the Universe of Earth-1602,
but it must be reopened by a manipulator of the Magnetic spectrum of Space itself:

Since this Universe was so young, it is still a Baby Universe:

As you can see the Past does NOT exist unless someone from the Present or Future travels to it,
the Past (when visited) is re-created instantly in a separate Universe/Reality.
Traveling to the Past is extremely dangerous and only skilled Time Travelers avoid becoming Temporal Anomalies like Captain America was in Reality Earth-1602. The TIme Variance Authority confiscates Time Machines (like Reed's) because of this very same reason.
As I proved,
a Time Traveler can potentially unwittingly destroy the Continuum of UniverseS.

Well as we know Eternity has been retconned in a way.
He was the Universe in it's entirety,
then Infinity was invented and he became the embodiment of Time, andf Infinity became the embodiment of Space.
