We've seen time and time again the further these movies deviate from the comics the less of a good thing it tends to be.
I hope this is good, and I personally still think it will be. And Marvel Studios have a record of giving us good, great and epic movies. And not many bad ones.
That being said I refuse to put no questions asked "blind faith" in the studio that gave us Iron Man 3.

stay home and don't see it then.. Look at how a whole bunch of people thought that GOTG would flop and we all know what that is doing... Comic book movies will always deviate from the source material (why people still cry about it remains to be seen).. anyway, I don't think Marvel will disappoint me , no matter what character they bring to the big screen

I mean damn i understand brand loyaly but this is just insanity to say voicing a negative opinion of marvel movies is wrong.

I'll sum it up like this, why would you do an Ultron movie & an Antman movie in the same year but not relate them intimately?
Why do a movie about a C list heroes F list replacement who lacks anything resembling a story post origin?
And why is everyone blindly elephant walking behind Marvel just because Gotg was good, do you guys not remember Cap1, Ironman 2&3 and to a lesser extent Hulk?
^ I agree. There seems to be a growing trend of "you better not say anything bad about Marvel."
I mean we get it. They've made some great movies. Doesn't mean we have to like every single thing they do. If every one of their movies was an Avengers or a Captain America 2, or an IM1 then fair enough. But they have done a few shitty things as well. Not many.
I mean they've got a great record. But there's still that chance the next film will be an IM3.
And even though I'm personally not a huge Ant-Man/Pym fan, I'm also not a fan of deviating too much from the source material. Some changes have to be made to fit in Live Action. We all get that. But just don't go out of your way to change things. And don't do a complete overhaul for the characters either.
That's my opinion anyway.

If i think a movie is shit, i will say so. doesn't matter what studio its from. The only brand loyalty I have with films , is its a good movie or not.
Cap1 was good imo. dont know why people say its bad.
ironman 2 was average. nothing special. but not total shit.
ironman 3 was shit imo, but the general audience thought it was ok.
norton hulk was an underrated movie. I enjoyed it.
That being said I really do hope Marvel makes Antman a good movie after all the edgar wright BS.
If you want to blame anyone for Pym not being an original avenger in the cinematic universe or pym not creating ultron , blame edgar wright.
He is 100% the reason why pym and whatever creations and stories of him are absent in the MCU so far.
Exactly, your doing avengers 2 about Ultron and you need a new male & female character how the hell do you not think Jan & Pym.

Honestly Coulson should have been Pym.

I enjoyed both Cap 1 and Iron Man 1.. Iron Man 2 was silly and Iron Man 3 was decent..
Well in the original script for Avengers did feature Pym and Wasp and people thought Eva Longoria was going to play Janet since she was spotted at a comic book shop reading/buying Avengers comics but of course Whedon rewrote the script and no more Wasp/Pym .. Also Marvel won;t give a wife beater a chance on screen. well since you are drawing a blank, then get a nap in .. Stark will be creating Ultron , I do believe so yeah I don;t have a problem with it.. Nor do I have a problem with Marvel saying Pietro and Wanda aren't necessarily mutants. Best Hulk film was Norton, however that will change when/if they make a Planet Hulk/WWH film like I believe they are going to..

Wright was working on Antman for 8 years. If he really wanted to make an Antman movie he would have made it a long time ago. Instead he put antman on the back burner and focused on releasing other movies instead in those 8 years.
By the time he showed interest in actually making the movie Marvel already had a cinematic universe going on. His antman movie (8 year old script) was a stand alone movie with no connection to the Marvel cinematic universe. Marvel told him to make some slight changes so it can fit into the universe. He said "no" and threw a tantrum and left the project. Even though Marvel had been backing him from the start and excluded Antman from anything because they were waiting for his movie to introduce the character. That never happened because wright took his sweet time and then acted like a child when Marvel wanted his stand alone film to be included into the MCU.
SO even IF marvel would have let wright do his film with NO changes, Pym would still be absent from avengers 2 because it would have been a non MCU canon movie. He would still not have been the creator of Ultron. Not even wright in his stand alone film had pym creating ultron. And it was also Wrights idea to have an "OLD" pym and a young scott lang. You can blame that on him as well.

👆
Had Edgar Wright finished and released Ant Man in 2008, it would have been the foundation of the MCU. Edgar Wright's delay gave the MCU time to form a different identity and tone. Then when Wright was ready, his film wasn't compatible with the established MCU.
Ant Man got screwed.

lol just because Magneto won;t be in Age of Ultron doesn;t mean Pietro and Wanda will be boring characters..
