There is confirmation of the feat on panel and by another marvel official source.

Marvel told us she cut off the future. Therefore all we know is Phoenix has the ability to manipulate timelines. How she does that is up to Marvel to let us know. You have no place demanding an explanation from us because you have nothing else to say 👇

Your point, that she "telekinetically cut off time and stopped the progression blah, blah, blah," isn't stated or implied anywhere. Not at all.

Your argument hinges on nothing more than a raging boner for the Phoenix and a reading deficiency.

But it *is* a well-defined fictional ability, and one which is simple enough to comprehend.

Its my understanding that when we use the term “Time”, its nothing more then applying co-ordinate within a Dimension composed of mass and energy.

Sublime had acquired some of the Phoenix power through the use of the Phoenix blood and the mutant known as Hank. Its danger was predominant, so it was removed from the mutant, where the misuses of her power would become a non-factor.
