-Near Extinction of Native Americans- it was Protestant men who engaged in the wars and conquering of the early Americas, nearly wiping out all native americans, not to mention wasting and burning plenty of resources and much of the history of thier culture. Protestants of early United States had also stolen Texas and other states from Mexico....
-Racism- many Protestants in power has contributed to the oppression of Blacks after the Emancipation. The racism and hate was so powerful, that even Catholics were abhorred by it.
Now....should this matter now ? Should Protestants be held responsible for thier historical crimes ? No, not at all.
But neither should Catholics.....if you want to condem Catholics for thier violent history, then you shouldn't ignore the history of Protestants either ❌

I just don't think Marcello should be attacking the Catholic Church when his own Church has much to answer for.....
At least Nellinator acknowledged what the Christian Churches have done throughout history, and decided not to blame himself or the current Church for it...as well as refraining from attacking other cultures for thier past history.

Urizen usually I'm on your side, but this time come on its called a metaphor. The passage means you must be of pure spirit to enter heaven. You're not supposed to remove the arm you're supposed to realize that you have commited a sin and cast the sin from yourself, thereby symbolicaly removing the arm and replacing it with one that is now pure in the eyes of god.

According to your intepretation.
The Bible literally commands you to remove the body part of which you sin, the same way the Quran orders a person to have thier hand removed for stealing.
But then again, YES, it could just be a metaphor.....but then whose to decide in the Bible what's literal truth and what's only metaphor ?
