People are so busy trying to convince one another that they're wrong that they're forgetting that they're both right. Ted and Terry wrote the script so that both sides have a plaussible argument. Why not make it the focus of the threads to glean what each side can learn from one another in terms of information? People are entitled to their opinions, and they'll continue to believe them no matter what you say to convince them otherwise. So all there is left really is the idea that each side can learn from what the other one is saying, rather than resisting information that is factual on both ends.

I thought we went over this with the great KTTC debacle? Give it a rest, don't take things personally and come into the discussions with the spirit of not trying to change other people's perspectives. There is no wrong answer.

Well I promise to be good as long as nobody messes with me and me peeps.

I wonder how are they going to pull this off, how in the world are they going to make both ships happy?

yes you are right. I have been saying this all along. Both sides should leave pleased with the movie. That is why I say dont start hating until you see it.

I am definately a M/E shipper!! That monkey get a bad rap with all the undead stuff. We cant judge him on the character he plays. He is really a very talented character actor and could play most roles. We need to give him a break and let him get the girl.

Please people. To have a successful board we need to all respect eachother and have fun with a fun movie. Sure debate your side but dont call people that dont agree with you 'stupid' or 'immaute'

They never said that both sides of the ship would be happy. All they said was that ideally, one side would join the other in agreeing with the 'most correct choice'.

More than likely, they will make it so that one man will do something noble and make the sacrifice of his personal happiness in the name of love, while the other man gets the girl.

Or, neither man will get the girl. Elizabeth claiming her love for the sea is more than a likely possibility.

also for some reason I think the monkey likes jack..in some weird way..he's not his enemy.

Also if it means both ships would leave happy..that would mean that she ends up with both men in some way or none at all in the long run...EKK so confusing with all their cryptic talk 😂

savvysparrow..he did say that it would be silly to create a scenario where both relationship goers leave unhappy..well they have created one where one will leave unhappy no doubt..no matter how well its written IMO it will still break some hearts..I dont think they can please the truly passioante W/E or J/E shippers if she ends up with either man

Hehe, well you do have a point. But I'm trying very hard to take a leaf from the book of Switzerland and remain neutral.

I wouldn't be surprised if she did end up with the monkey. He's cute, loveable, loyal to a fault. He has an excellent sense of fashion and who says that being undead isn't hot?

No one can write a story that pleases everyone in every way. We just have to deal with that. Some people will leave the theatre feeling wronged.

And yes the monkey has a great fashion sense. He is great. Who else could run around all day in a diaper and still be cute at his age. I have never heard him once complain about long days or late lunches or not getting paid enough.

Well a plausible scenario were both ships are going to be pleased and unhappy is if Elizabeth goes on by herself. I can see everyone accepting her choice but still unhappy because she did not end up with neither of them.

I don't want the monkey to end up with Liz, I'm rooting for a Dog/Monkey ending.

I'm hoping that bloody dog keeps hold of the bone instead of the keys...what dog gives up a bone for some cold metal keys?

I try not to leave hints. Not that I would be busted but I just like to let people form their own opinions. I have left a few here and there but nothing that would give too much away. Like I said. I play devil's advocate to all sides. On other forums I question the W/E shippers the same way I do the J/E shippers here.

I have not gotten to hold the monkey. It's just fun to watch him with the trainers.

And I hope the dog doesnt end up getting the monkey. That dog is a diva!! oooh pet me im famous. Give me a bone . Dont you know who I am?? Its pathetic.
