I rather like being called influencial 🙂 I feel like I've just been given phenomenal cosmic powers.....and while we're on the subject, most of us here aren't exactly babes in the woods. Most of us are in or around college age. We're more than capable of sorting through what is fact, fiction or otherwise entirely a fallacy. Pirates life has said little to nothing that wasn't already known here on the forum. He's simply stirred up the debate by neither confirming or denying certain facts or questions. Despite our best efforts, he's been surprisingly mum about what does or doesn't happen in AWE.

William Turner Jr., is a fictional character in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, and is played by Orlando Bloom.
Will is a blacksmith's apprentice working in Port Royal. He is in love with Elizabeth Swann the governor's daughter, a woman he believes he can never hope to attain due to his inferior rank. Although mild-mannered, Will is fiercely loyal to those he cares about and is willing to risk everything when they, especially Elizabeth, are in danger. At his best, Will is clever, heroic and courageous. He can also be preoccupied and brooding.
I quite agree with all of that. 🙂 Though it did read a bit like an encyclopedia of endangered species.
I found the difference in Will;s character between 1 and 2 to be fun and interesting. I suppose Orlando grew a lot as an actor between those two, doing Kingdom of Heaven and such.
He just seems more relaxed as Will--- especially his line "im not going to eat you".

for one he's allowed to say he's read the script and he's also allowed to share his opinion..he may be hinting he may not be, no one here knows what is fact and whats not from what he says..I dont even think he's telling us any hints..I can never tell.
His employer probably would encourage his leaving harmless bits of information around because it only adds fuel to the internet fire. Disney isn't stupid--they'd have severely chastized him already if he were saying anything that was detrimental to their movie. A little bit of information is only going to spark interest in the film, and thus, generate more income for Disney. So far as I know, his hints haven't dissuaded anyone from not seeing the movie. Disney's out to make as much money as they possibly can. Rumors and tiny hints only add to their spoils.

You're right! Will does seem more comfortable with his role as a leader--though at times there is an arrogance about his abilities. I think the Wikipedia article does pick out some good points. One is that Will isn't the one dimmensional hero. He does have his moments where he can be preoccupied and brooding. Apparently, Will's last name is a bird name too. His bird is the Turn, or the Tern, don't know how to spell it. I'd be interested to read about the characteristics. But I digress...
It's interesting that the author of Wikipedia picked brooding and pre-occupied because those say a lot about Will's character. His struggles are very much internal, and that explains a lot about the script of AWE. Rather than choosing to outwardly confront Elizabeth about what he saw, he chooses instead to brood and allow it to inwardly seethe. That's not necessarily a healthy person. Though, maybe we'll see him learn to deal with his emotions more in the next movie...

yeah thats a big thing about Will, and if we want to get psychological, we could talk about the "absent father syndrome" and such, and the fact that his basis of truth for life is more or less shattered by none other than Captain Jack, the first person to explain to him that he's been living a lie and comes from stock of outcast. 😉

I appreciate your wanting to protect all of us from harm and I'm being genuine. It's nice to have someone watch your back every now and again. But I haven't seen anything predatory from Pirates Life that suggests that his intentions are anything less than honorable. Believe you me, if he had, I would have been all over that too. What exactly has he said that makes you protest?
Lets just ignore her, I have been posting here for a while and I have never seen Pirates Life Fo post anything about whats going to happen in the movie. The only thing he has been guilty of is posting about his Liz and monkey preference. 😄 Please pay no mind to those kind of people that want to ruin everything for us. We are having a good time discussing our opinions about the movie.

Oooo! Get psychological! Please! I've been trying for at least a month to understand William's perspective. Go in depth, we might as well. No one seems to want to talk about Will unless it's in reference to his being a pansy, or how W/E won't work.
