man oh man...Lizzy is so going to miss Jack and the Black Pearl and Freedom stuck on that Island for 10 years waiting for boring ol' whelp to return.....they talk about staying true to the characters..well, that is so untrue to Liz's character....in AWE Liz didn't seem like herself a'tall......I miss the Liz that was forever trying to up one on Captain Sparrow....

I agree...though some of the bits were very 'Lizzie' but I guess they wanted to make the character 'develope' ...*coughs meaningfully*

BTW T.Maria! U are SO right. Will is such a Donald Duck!! Jack is totally Mickey...
Mickey is the star of the show...so is Jack!
Mickey is the reason the Disney empire is still standing and making movies...so is Jack!
Mickey is funny even when he does something goofy...so is Jack!
Mickey should get the girl (although it's 75 years later and he STILL hasn't proposed to Minnie)...so should Jack!!

I just don't understand it...why did they keep to the old disney noble-knight-in-shining-boots-gets-the-girl when they could make something SO interesting that would knock the pants off everyone??

Even without the JE ending...when you mention POTC the two charcters that everyone mentions first is Jack and Elizabeth! Even without the JE ending the general movie goers still think: "Hehe! Jack and Elizabeth would have been so hot together."

Most aren't disappointed like we are but they still think. What ever happened to the J & E interaction.

That's WITHOUT any JE in AWE...imagine if there was JE in AWE...

^^You and T.Maria are so right. I have friends who like the willabeth pairing but loved the romantic comedy-ness and love sparring of J/E

Ha...Teegirl....so right...jack and mickey...two peas in a pod...

Wow...I am just feeling so empty today....and I know why...because we got no great j/e scenes in AWE...I would have accepted W/E...if we could have had just one quiet scene betweeen Jack and liz where they talk about would could have been if things had been different and perhaps a good-bye kiss....one full of angst and longing...anything...but we got nothing....except for the Parachute Scene and Liz's goodbye, where you can't tell if they are being serious or joking.....and then the line by Liz is just so out of the blue based on everything that transpired in AWE...

the reunion of when they see each other for the first time in AWE is a big letdown too..I just expected so much more than this based on what went on in DMC....

the funny think is when i go with some of my friends to the movie i always say "Will and Elizabeth just DONT go together!" and then i always get the answer "I know! I want her to get together with Jack!" and ill just go "I know! It's meant to be!" so i find more JL shippers that way :-)
