the fighting that Jack and Liz do is part of their chemistry...I'll say it again for the millionth time...that's what makes romance novels so interesting..I mean really. Who wants to sit down and read a nice little book where the couple meet as children, they grow up in love, sword fight three hours a day, one of them can't even call the other by their first name for 8 years, and then they live happily ever after...uggg...

no, what sells is that spark, they want each other, but they don't want to want each other, they are always trying to outsmart the other, they argue, fight, tease, flirt, and then finally when they can stand it no more there denied feelings burst through in a rush of emotions.......it's forbidden, they deny the feelings....then suddenly it explodes into a passionate kiss......and then denial again...and then ....I don't know, but you guys get my drift....

Jack and Liz are the more interesting couple, hands-down. I never ever saw Liz have any kind of in-depth soul revealing conversation with WIll and I never saw her have any fun ...and she always looks sad when ever Will is around..there is no joy, no laughter...just boredom....that won't last for long....of course, they do spend 10 years apart...ah well...

And the thrilling part of romances is when the heroine is forever refering to the hero as "dispicable"..."wretch"....."dirty rat"....."scoundrel"....all those lovely words that mean the opposite of what she really thinks....

oh by the way...off topic...I love my siggy joanjoan made, I could stare at it all day....

and Mina, you are right...as much as I love Johnny and could stare at him all day...I guess it goes beyond that...I don't want to see the same old Jack stumbling...etc...drinking rum...forever searching for something and never finding it.....I love johnny...but AWE prooved to me that I need more than just seeing Johnny..i wanted more...I've only been to see it once, and I surely thought I would want to see it over and over if not but to see Jack Sparrow...but not even the thrill of seeing Jack could bring me to see AWE on the big screen more than once....the plot holes and the yucky "romance" in the movie is more than i could stomach...

This is why (in my harry potter obsessed world) I like draco and hermione.

I know it wont happen...blah blah blah...but they fight and hate eachother and come from different worlds...but its interesting!!!

I would rather sit on my arse and watch Elizabeth Town repeatedly, rather than sit there and watch liz and will make googly eyes at eachother....

I am quiet angry that they practically stole what suppose to happen to Sparrabeth: Sex on the beach lol.

If there was ever going to be a fourth, which it looks like a total go for it, I don't want more adventures of Willabeth and using Jack like a bump in the road. We got enough of their Dollar General Store price romance.

I never cared nor mind the W/E relationship in CotBP. But, I just found it to be so annoying and boring in AWE. They screwed up big time.

OT: I would like to help, but, unfortunately, Im a Harry and Hermione shipper 🙂.

^^ Sparrabeth sex on the beach would have been fantastic. I was the same way in COTBP, I didn't mind the whelpabeth (although I loved the sparrabeth) - but the stuff we got in AWE was just crap (sorry to be crude). All the character development in DMC was disregarded -bleh. Will got to go off and have "big-boy" adventures and leave his little childhood girlfriend on an island to wait for him.

OT: NP, I also like Harry/Hermione 🙂

All the character development from DMC seemed to fall into Calypso's whirlpool.

Even the critics were having a WTF moment asking where does Will come from, all of the sudden?

They pushed Will too much to be into the spotlight. Not only him, but Willabeth. I just didn't like the way it was pushed. Making Jack Sparrow hired to be a clown more than a pirate.

^^ Totally. Its just like somebody said "Well, the kiddies think Orlando is cute, so we'll do a Will/Elizabeth ending, but the older 'uns like Jack, so we'll keep him in there for some comic relief. You know, to help lighten the mood about all the pirates dying. Ooh! Lets through in some angst and contrast between the characters and make Will look all noble!"

He's the one you see for and foremost in all the posters, advertisements, cereal boxes, etc....for Heaven's Sake they even sold him in a Pirate Attack Pack with Elizabeth Swann..they Have him As Mickey Mouse...and Elizabeth as Minnie...so what now..Minnie Mouse dumps Mickey for Donald Duck..oh brother....
