OK, I need to stop "bumping" in like this. Hello, again! I tried to come back but the Uni is being quiet the Nazi and tutoring is becoming a pain.

LovelyOne: *nods in agreement* I heard about a cover of Jack and Elizabeth. And nope, no captain fruit loops in sight.

It's sad, so sad that I can't get over on how shitty this movie is. Not shippy wise, the entire movie itself.

Old rumors were that they were planning a futuristic...pirates...sequel. Kind of makes you go "wtf?"

But that was a while ago. I haven't heard any recent rumors lately other than a fourth is being written. Oh, and Geoffrey Rush supposedly wants to be the next director o_o. Again, just rumors. *shrugs*

willofthewhisp: Talking about screenwriting/play, I believe that they planned to end it with a slight hint or hope of Jack and Elizabeth. Lots of people are pointing their fingers to TnT, even though they could be part of it, but on an article from a magazine (UK) mentions on how GORE intentionally changed the movie. Making it appear to be the complete opposite we were hoping for.

OT: Hello, gals! Nice to see some lovely, familiar faces (er, names) in here. 🙂

Hi Mina.It1ss o good to see you back.
I thought it wasn't just T'n'T who could be blamed for the movie turning out to be this way.Gore changed that wonderful story. 😠

thanks for the info mina, its brilliant to see u back again!!! 😄

I like tnt...but its sad because i also like gore lol.
i guess thats the kind of stuff that happens when writers and directors get attached to a film and its characters...they want to make the movie that THEY would want to watch, rather than a movie that the audience would want to watch...

To Freedom, I had no idea! That sounds like a cool project, cooler than anything I got to do in school. I guess I'll stick with books and fanfics. So, Mina, where's this last kiss attempt? Is it a lot different from the movie? Because if you look, she's not going in for a hug. She's going in for a kiss. Sigh, she's had a long time to keep telling herself it wouldn't have worked out.

*clutches heart*

If only the script had let them have that last goodbye, I wouldn't feel so rotten about the end of AWE *sigh* Yes, Jack does have that honest/honorable streak, but I can't see him missing an opportunity to kiss a beautiful women - from his past exploits (and the stories behind some of the trinkets) he doesn't seem to have a problem being intimate with married women...if she seemed willing, I don't see why he would push her away like that - was he not wanting the temptation again? *sigh* So much potential thrown out the porthole...

Well, hello to you too, Pocky 🙂.

Again, forget that I'm a sparrabether for a moment. It's just I had my "contacts" and they send me the complete script. What was cut had to do a lot with Elizabeth and Jack.

^Forget that, my point is that people need to be careful on who they blame at. TnT weren't the ones who "fudged" it up - completely.

I personally like the novel than the movie. I find the novel to be the *real* story, and the plot seems to fit very well. They both even attempt for a last kiss.

Hello 🙂

Where can I find the novel? ebay maybe?

It's torture when so much can be read into a single gesture, isn't it, savvy? Man, we could talk this one to death and probably not even scratch the surface. My take on it is that at the beginning of AWE, yeah, Jack is very understandably bitter about what Elizabeth did and is keeping his distance. I think it's when she sees her dad that he starts to soften on her a bit, maybe start to understand and accept a little more why she did what she did and all the hell it probably was getting him out of there. So it seems like he doesn't really know how to treat her the rest of the time other than the brethren court scene when he sort of takes it upon himself to be a mentor to her (which he already kind of was, but no matter there) and help her in her role as king because they have the same goals. But there at the end, I don't know. They finally have a calm moment between them and I just wonder if he's fallen back in love with her again. This would be really bad timing-wise because even though she's married and officially off the market, she's just proven she loves Will and would have gone down with his ship had Jack not pulled her out of there. So what's a guy to do? I don't think he trusted himself to let her kiss him. Who knows, maybe he would have scooped her up and carried her off...

I totally agree with you Willo, every word is true! Someone should totally write a scene starting from the actual almost-kiss. Most of the AU AWE fics start prior to the whelp marriage, it would be interesting to see where the fic would go if Jack had actually allowed her to give him that kiss, have the one day with Slimy Git II and then....who knows? 😉

that would be interesting

potcfan, I also know a lot of romantic moments that occur when it rains and the couple is just fine.

I'm not going to get on the willabethers coming on here and voicing their opinion, but I just want to say that when Kate and I go on the willabeth thread, we're team players and are there to entertain and discuss with our very dear willabeth friends. I think it's well understood how she and I feel about willabeth, but we try to not get into it. So it would be nice if when willabethers come here, they are team players too and just go with the flow instead of arguing.

I'm not arguing, I just wanted to see why the Sparrabethers liked sparrabeth, and I noticed tht some one before me had written that they thought that will and liz wouldn't be happy, so I said my opinion. I wasn't trying to argue... srry if it came off that way...

That's cool. I was in a defensive mood.

there is sooooo much sexual tension in this picture... its ridiculous. what do we got...? Jack and liz, will looking at jack and liz, tia looking at jack, ragetti looking at tia, everyone tousled and damp and covered in sand... this could be an abercrombie ad. 😉

Sigh...I hate that Pirates a Disney movie franchise. Had it been a different adult geared company, maybe the pirate would have gotten the pirate girl. Instead, the pirate girl regressed into a barefoot and pregnant, dress wearing breeder. GRRRRR Rant over. Sorry...still a little bitter LOL! Ignore this if you find it offensive.

I think Jack didn't want to kiss Liz because he wanted her to honour her marriage to Will. Of course he would love to kiss her and claim her but remember, there's the noble side of Jack as well. I also think that there's a bit of self-preservation here as he knows that if he kisses her, he would fall so hard in love with her that he would not be able to let her go off into the arms of Will. It's a really painful decision for Jack as he knows that she knows that they love one another and are more than friends. As for Liz, if Jack had kissed her back, she would definitely betray Will. If Liz had not agreed to the marriage, my, everything would be SO DIFFERENT!

Why oh Why did that stupid girl marry that Whelp in the rain on the Pearl!!! Oh yeah...I remember...this was written by men who have no sense of romance and what women really desire.....maybe if they had been under the influence "of what women want" like that Mel Gibson movie then we would have got our hot and passionate sparrabeth ending!

And by the by, I don't think the fact that it was a Disney movie had anything to do with it...they are the ones promoting Jack and Liz in a package...I think that was all Ted, Terry, Gore and Jerry's doings.....

Kate, love, as always....you know how to make everything seem so lightheated...and you are right...this could be an Abercrombie Ad!

Look, I think Jack's forearm is brushing against her tiny little t-t's!

I love your siggy, ltt

Lol, pretty sexy for a bunch of dirty people who haven't had a bath for a while.

Wow, lovethemtigers, you're right! He is so up against her. I love it. There is a part in DMC, right as Jack is saying "abandon ship" after the kraken attack where he and Liz come down the stairs and it looks like he has his hand on her back. Watch and see if you can capture it because I'm at work, lol. That guy just can't keep his hands off her.

ROFL! The comment about the abercrombie add made me think of the MadTV spoofs, lol 😛

Yes, simply loads of UST *sigh* - you are right! He does look like he's feeling her up - in front of the whelp no less! Mwahaha

in an alternate universe, Jack would have bargained that scene better. He's got the ship, Barbossa has the maps... Maps aren't equal to a ship, so obviously Lizzie would have had to go aboard the Pearl with Jack and negotiated for their passage back... 😉
