it's a oneshot that might become more... if we pester her enough... trust me, you'll be glad you read it...

😱 😱 Pester her!! Kidnap I say, pressgang her into our service and krewe!! 😱

Caused me to preztel like a squashed spider!!

WHOA! (means holy moly or stop, Tx sailor speak)--that is a story!! Ta, dearie Miz Kateloves, love their voices!! Puts you right there, can smell it, feel the heat, all manner of subtle sensory information. She writes Jack as he is, a dangerous wolf of a man and Elisabeth as herself. Got my attention!

And you, Miz WilloftheWisp! No sniffles or upset tummies, ginger ale and Vick's cures everything except broken hearts or legs!! Get to feelin' better, otay?

Just a cough, tex. I'm taking it super easy and am swigging water like it's rum!

Yes, that story was great. Has the author written anything else?

Oh that was a great story...I'm glad I took the time to read it. It's one of those great little moments where we can imagine that yes, something did happen behind the scenes between Jack and Lizzy...that all was not what met the eye!

Willo....your writings are hysterical. They made me laugh out loud. I love it "oh damn, he survived" and how will is showing off his bandana and Jack and lizzy placate him like a small child showing off his prized medals are something....

Yes Willo that author has written many other stuff especially 3 of my fav stories:

Fall of the Sparrow
http://salr323.livejournal.com/47934.html

Semper Fidelis
http://salr323.livejournal.com/43359.html

and I think a story you might find familiar Willo, one i remember you saying was one of your faves:

Beyond the Far Horizon
http://salr323.livejournal.com/59864.html

😄 For those who havent read these please take the time to read them....they r completely worth every second of your time. Sparrabeth stories to the core, trust me you wont regret reading them.

Sometimes I have a hard time keeping track of what title corresponds to what plot line. I remember Beyond the Far Horizon VERY well and I think I've read the other two. No harm in double-checking. 😄

okay--this just struck me as exceedingly odd--there are 5, 524 (25)actual comments and almost 97,000!!!!! views. WHAT the heckydo!!??!!??!!??
That's like almost a 1 to 20 ratio for pete's sake. Can you say, omy, ain't that summpin!!

I'm actually here.. for the first time in 6 months.
I'm done with POTC. And this forum. The first two movies were great, but the third ruined it for me, honestly.
Also, I saw Sweeney Todd in the cinema. It was fantastic. One of the best I've seen in a long time. Nice adaption of the Broadway musical.
So..to everyone who was here between DMC and AWE, a quick hello and goodbye. 🙂

I'm sorry you1re leavin'.Good bye darling.

Oooh No Hambah! 🙁 I'll be sad to see ya go!

awww!!! this forum is so falling apart, but it IS coming back! nice! bye Hambah!! <3333

The following is a review from someone on imdb.com. I wanted to know what you guys thought.

"the movie could be broken down into FOUR major flaws:

POOR WRITING. it seemed the writers were very aware that audiences were only going to see 'Pirates' for Jack Sparrow, so they thought... "hmmm, if people love Jack so much... they'll love THREE jacks, or FOUR jacks, or even MORE Jacks!!" so they made scenes reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland where Jack hallucinates and sees many of himself. the mood and overall appearance of these scenes drastically contrast with the mood and overall appearance of the film. for a minute i thought i was watching an Oompa Loompa scene from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

TOO MANY CHARACTERS: accompanying poor writing was the addition of too many characters. in a nutshell: jack's crew (which was two crews combined), the British crew, the squid's crew, and a new Asian crew all have different agendas that (of course) require the other crews to be killed. Elizabeth (Knightly) becomes captain of the Asian crew, Orlando bloom becomes captain of the squid crew and Jack bounces between every crew as he is traded and captured for deal-making. Orlando bloom's character wants to free his father, Jack wants to be immortal, Kiera Knightly's character wants to be with Orlando Bloom again, the squid wants the sea goddess, Elizabeth wants to kill the British captain for killing her father, the British crew wants jack dead and the Asian crew wants to be a part of whichever crew is getting the treasure. but is there even treasure?!! the object they're all after is a beating heart. and yes, it's as confusing as it sounds.

OLD JOKES. just like the second, all of the "comedic" moments in the third movie relied on recycled material from the first movie. the humor in 'pirates' can be attributed to six subjects: 1) the wooden eye: kudos to whoever thought to give that guy a wooden eye because you added 30 pages of plot to each film!! 2) jack, the monkey: the only character whose acting improved by the third film. he's also in a lot more of the scenes in the third movie. my boyfriend thought he was the best part. and he was right. 3) rum jokes: the first movie relied heavily on rum jokes. since the third movie didn't know what the hell it was doing, it hit up the booze too. 4) the sexual tension between jack and elizabeth. the cliché "trust me, it would have never worked between us..." lines return again. 5) jack getting slapped: yes, women love to slap jack sparrow. we got that one already, thanks. 6) sheer stupidity/slapstick humor: the other nanoseconds of anticipated (but unreceived) humor relied on the dumb antics of the fat guy and the skinny guy with the wooden eye.

CONFUSING PLOT. it felt as though the writers made this movie up as they were filming it and when they were running low on plot someone said, "i know, let's make one of the crew members turn out to be a sea goddess!!" and since there are only two female main characters (one being Kiera Knightly), the Jamaican-sounding chick landed the role of sea goddess. this made the plot entertaining for about 20 seconds when the Jamaican chick turned into the 50 ft. woman and started talking like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man and then exploded into millions of crabs at which point i leaned over to my boyfriend and said, "haha, she had crabs!!" needless to say, i don't plan on seeing the 4th or 5th or 6th Pirates movie. but i will be curious to see if Depp stays aboard."

Did you catch that bit about Jack and Elizabeth's sexual tension being part of the comic relief?! Is this what the mainstream public sees when they see our couple together? Really, in an alternate world, if we had our sparrabeth ending, would the reviews have been any different? Would most of the general public have seen it as a travesty?

Nah. I think people would have been surprised but pleasantly so. Because in order for Jack and Elizabeth to ever have worked, the film would have required far fewer plot shenanigans and a moderately happy, cheeky, adventurous sailing into the horizon ending. I always imagined that sparrabeth wouldn't work as any sort of tradition romance--- there would be ambiguity. So Will sails off, and then we get Captain Jack with his women, realizing he's lost the Pearl, but doesn't have a dinghy or anything, and then Elizabeth comes up looking cheeky and pulls a "are you looking for a ship, Captain Sparrow?" and he pulls a "You looking for immortality, love?" and then they team up and sail off into the horizon. willabethers can convince themselves its platonic and sparrabethers can go crazy. everyone wins.

I was just re-reading the DMC script...

"The kiss continues all the way to the mast of the ship.

An incredible kiss. A kiss for the ages. A kiss that has been building since Jack and Elizabeth met.

They break the kiss. Jack looks at Elizabeth, knowledge of his fate already in his eyes--

-- there is a CLICK--

Jack glances down. Elizabeth has manacled his wrists, chaining him to the mast.

Jack looks into her eyes, desiring her all the more, knowing her true heart is the same as his. Elizabeth can't hold his gaze...

OH THE HOTNESS!!!! THE TENSION!!!!! IT really was a kiss for the ages...

Wow! So...then something weird has happened because if that is in the script, a huge logic problem has now surfaced.

To make sense of AWE (especially the willabeth aspect), and to connect it to DMC, there was something building up in DMC between Jack and Elizabeth, but T&T said the triangle was already resolved by the end of that movie. The only way that could have happened is if by kissing, Jack and Liz both sort of blew off steam, got it out of their system, and that was it. Jack would obviously get over the woman who killed him and sent him to the Locker and Liz got to "slake her lust and drown her guilt."

BUT...then Jack should not want her more for what she's done in that case. Wanting her more in a situation like that only means that he's just irritated with her in AWE and that the feelings must be even stronger. Holy cow!

Any word on Elizabeth's feelings regarding all this?

Hee hee hee, what the main characters' astrological signs say about the kind of lover they are...

DISCLAIMER: I in no way believe in astrology.

Will: Capricorn is an earthy sign. Earthy Capricorns sexual nature is as powerful as his earthy aspirations. Capricorn lovers will remain aloof and would not like to make a first move until of course s/he is truly in love. Sexual intimacy and expression has to be developed over a period of time. They have a very serious and aloof attitude hence they miss out on the fun in sex. After the passion wears off usually the relationship spells trouble; however sexual relationship without any emotional involvement can be exciting.

Aries Woman and Capricorn Man
If you want this match to be successful, concentrate on adjustments and compromises. The practicality, somberness and stability of a Capricorn man is entirely opposite to the enthusiasm, vivacity and spontaneity of an Aries woman. He finds it difficult to express himself and she is way too expressive about everything. Though this match is difficult, it is not impossible. Patience and tolerance on both sides can really strengthen the bond. Infact, together, both of them can attain almost anything in this world.

Jack: Geminis are aroused by intellectual communion. They have a fierce desire for independence and freedom in their relationships. They are witty and very amusing lovers. They are not fierce or aggressive as lovers but can arouse their lover by sensual erotic fantasies. They are experimental in lovemaking and constantly keep analyzing their love life. The variety and change is the spice of life for them. But they can get frenetic as they are liable to become insensitive or somewhat blunt at times.
They love excitement and variety in love.
Geminis love to be pampered silly.
They tend to be very possessive, be it any relationship.
They tend to be very choosy when it comes to love.
Born flirts, Geminis love to flirt and it is mostly harmless and fun.
They generally associate with a partner who is intellectually stimulating and provide the variety they crave for.
Their dating and seduction style stands out and they will never do the same stuff twice.

James: Pisces is a watery sign. Sex with Pisces lover is erotic and pure enjoyment. They form a kind of spiritual bond with their lover in union. They have intense sensual fantasies and lovemaking is an expression or outlet of their personality. They are sensitive and psychic towards their lovers desires and needs. Pisces is lazy by nature so does not like to chase its lover. Pisces lover is happy to swim in the deep waters of emotions and would like to solve all their personal problems in bed using sex as a key. [Pisces...just like me...]

This relationship is a little difficult to cope up with. Though both, an Aries woman as well as a Piscean man, are romantic to the core, they may face adjustment problems in other areas. She will have to control her aggressiveness if she wants to win over his love, since he is very sensitive. At the same time, he will have to accept her independence and let her have her freedom. On the other hand, he will delight her with his wistful, mystifying nature and she will inspire him to move ahead in life and get what he wants. But then, love is known to transcend all differences. Isn't it?

Elizabeth: The ruling planet of Arians is Mars, the planet of power and enormous personal strength. It kindles their passion and romantic moods. Intimacy and sexual impulses are high but very much short-lived. Aries lover has no patience and sensitivity and this may be the reason for most of the relationships to turn sour. They are blessed with optimism and enthusiasm that keeps the fire in them burning and igniting their lover as well. Aries lover is burning with sexual energy and likes to be in charge. They are boldly passionate and willing to take risks for their love.

The combination of an Aries woman and a Gemini man is a high energy one. Both of them share mutual interests and a Gemini man will never ever overshadow the individuality of an Aries woman. At the same time, she will shower him with attention and will be interested in his wildest of dreams. He will woo her with his charm and romantic gestures. However, a Gemini woman will have to control her flirtatious nature or there may be some serious problems between the two.

Somewhat dead-on, don't you think?

Wow, thats amazing willo!! Where did you get your info? 🙂

uh, of course you ask that after I'm out of it, lol...I went to google and typed in "love in zodiac signs" and it was one of the first on there. I looked up the actors' birthdays and used those, so it's not accurate, but then this is just a movie we're talking about anyway, ha ha ha.

Using the astrological signs for balance, hey good a way as any--with some fine tuning--you don't just go through the mandala once (all 12 signs). You go through each sign until you learn what lessons are there. That's why when you read some passages, it can seem like the information is all over the map--it deals with the new (less evolved) sign and someone who has gone through more times, learned more and is getting ready to go to the next level. Water signs work better with water, fire with fire, air with air, earth with earth. An Aries woman, well, now there's hell on wheels--Lots of energy, lots of I want, lots of what do I do to get what I want. Not quite as bold as a Leo woman (no my way or highway--only my way)but pretty devoted to getting needs met. Good parent in a distracted sort of way--Capricorn, has huge capacity to love who they love forever, once they decide they love you, hell might freeze over and cause them to change their minds, but not likely. All three signs are loyal, Gemini the least of the three--the shades of gray for them amazing....never never never dull with a Gemini--closer to Cancer, more passionate, more lunatic, closer to Taurus, more devoted to family and friends, pursuing the path they alone choose. Very artistic, creative.

Funny you should bring this up, I've often wondered based on how the characters presented what their birth signs might be--sorta figured Jack to be Cancerian, water baby to the nines, believe it or not, a good "mom" (most feminine sign), loyal to friends and family, creative, smart, quick minded--likely to throw a squall (think rum)--easily wounded but hiding it well--loves to be in love, loves unrequited love, heroic endeavors. Figured Will for Taurus--good mind, dedicated to causes, dedicated to whom he loves for ever after--a plodder, the Bull for pete's sake--do not get this individual hacked off--not good. Elisabeth, my oh my, I figured her for a Scorpio woman, albeit a new one--passionate, headstrong, invicible, Scorpio woman puts everyone through changes--a water baby--without all the moon mushy sometimes up sometimes down (wax and wane). Anyway, yep done give this way too much thought for a Monday.

wow that's freaking awesome! it's like... SOOOOO dead on. haha. brilliant.

Well, like I said, tex, I was just going by the actors' birthdays because I didn't have any other information. We should ask T&T what the "official" birthdays are. Astrology's an interesting thing even though I don't take it seriously. Sometimes it's pretty dead-on, though.

I was looking up what my baby's sign would be and it's weird because both my parents are Tauruses (Tauri?) and had two Pisces children. I married another Pisces and we are expecting a Taurus...and then it had a whole section about lovelifes and because sparrabeth is never too far from my mind...one thing led to another. I couldn't believe how spot-on it was.
