😂 "See that’s the problem with the Internet - everything is turned into a news story. "

No, buddy. The problem is, whatever you say is there for everyone to read

He is clearly trying to backtrack on what he said.

Yeah and people like to twist it into something else and ends being totally not what he said.

what i would like for the sequel would be to see Bruce Wayne coming to Metropolis helping to rebuild the city and landscapes and builidngs

Waid did whine like a little ***** in that review.

Waid can go frack himself

I read the article and Waid said Superman didn't do enough to ensure humanity's safety during the battle. He wanted him to multitask. How is that possible when Zod is fighting him? He couldn't leave the fight and attend a civilian or else Zod would continue the fight near the civilian and kill some of them. He also said the movie didn't do enough to convince the audience that Superman had to kill Zod. Was a possible barbequed family not reason enough?

Also, too many are holding up Superman's silver age status and beyond as his definitive blue print. Superman and Batman didn't have a no kill rule until the comic code came in. I'm not saying I want Superman to kill indiscriminately like some other characters, but I can accept it if he has no choice. There are stories in previous canon that support this. I will admit, it's a tough pill to swallow, but it's practical in the role of a protector.

i don't like it, I can accept it because of it being the reason for Superman to have the no-kill policy. Superman just having that "no-kill" code for no real reason in his very first movie would have been stupid as all ****. As it stands it is going to be great for character development in the sequel.

ITS A FAILURE, I TELL YOU.

The editor of Rotten Tomatoes calls out his site's critics for being overly harsh in their reviews of Man of Steel:

http://comicbook.com/blog/2013/06/14/man-of-steel-rotten-tomatoes-editor-shocked-at-low-critic-rating/

Lol.

What I saw of Rotten Tomatoes was that they were affixing 'rotten' ratings to reviews that gave the movie a B- rating. To me a B- isn't 'rotten', a B- means that the movie has its flaws, but all in all it's a good film.

The more reviews I read, the more I feel like a lot of these people have no idea what Superman has been like for the last twenty-odd years.

This isn't the Reeve era anymore.

its kinda sad how this movie is being corn-holed by everybody.. I think an avid comic book reader will agree that as time goes, the characters evolve, not just superman.. seeing as how some of these critics cling to an ideal that was christopher reeve, they're putting blinds on their eyes and refuse to see the evolution and changes that go along with this iteration of superman..

I wonder if they b*tched this much when Batman let Ras die. Or when he killed Talia and that guy driving the truck with the guns on his plane. Aren't "killing" and "guns" exactly not what he's supposed to do? But Superman killing a superpowered killing machine when left with no other viable option is b*tch-fit worthy? Suck a d*ck

right? I'm pretty sure batman pulled the trigger while aiming for the truck.. kinda contradicts the "no guns!" rule he told catwoman on the rooftop..

It has earned 586 millions till date and it has yet to release in Brazil and Japan IIRC. 650 million is guaranteed at this point.

It beat Iron Man at worldwide gross this weekend too.

which is why i hardly ever read reviews.. just confirms my stance of these critics.. people NEED to see something for themselves and judge it and not worry what rating Fried Green, err Rotten Tomatoes says

which is why i can certainly see in Justice League, Batman and Superman having a conversation regarding no killing , not saying it will happen but would be nice

As I recall, one of the biggest critiques of Watchmen (which was a great movie, despite the flaws (overuse of slowmo, ridiculous Synder violence)) was that it was "too faithful" to the source material.
