Superman: Man of Steel

^Jackman > Everyone.

Can't say enough good things about the new trailer. I can feel it in my bones this time, this one will hit it out of the park.

I'm with Doctor Cox when it comes to Hugh Jackman.

**** that guy.

mardsen was discarded because he had a big role in superman returns.. either ways, he was going to be a part of a disappointing movie..

Movie looks meh, imo.

I'll see it, none of my friends and family will though; they hated Returns to much.

I think this is the last chance Superman will get for a long time; if this one fails, we probably won't see one for more than a decade.

Not promising, considering the huge stigma this is facing because of lack-luster Returns.

This is a new start so I think disregard Superman Returns.

Ditto

Tzeentch is just upset the studios decided to give Superman another try instead of rebooting Steel.

The casual movie-goer, I.E. the majority, won't see it that way.

Dredd ran into the same problem. The movie itself was decent, and got decent reviews, but the Stallone film was such shit that no one went to see Dredd, so it bombed. And that's with the Stallone film coming out like... 10+ years ago. Returns sucked wind, and it only came out a few years ago.

But yet it has Nolan's name on it for Producer and most people know his name for his Batman movies.

From what's on the web, not sure how truthful it is, but this is a younger / far weaker version of superman when compared to the pre-crisis superman of Routh and Reeves. I want this guy to kick @ss instead of the other way around.

That is true to an extent, but this is Superman. He's a big enough name that if people see the trailer, they'd probably give it a shot.

What is "Steel"?

edit- Google'd it. stfu Rob. lol

I think that's more to do with no one giving a crap about Dredd. I doubt many people were thinking oh it's that s*** Stallone movie again. There just wasn't enough hype or excitement generated. And I've not seen it, but I'm guessing it was nothing special.

A better example would be Batman Begins being a success despite Batman & Robin a few years earlier.

That's because with such big names like Superman and Batman people will always be willing to give a reboot a chance.

It's not like Returns dented the "Name" Superman. If it did then Smallville wouldn't have lasted 10 years.

Which is rather stupid really

because people were fine with Clint Eastwood doing the exact same thing with his Dirty Harry movies

but really People need to be more open minded with these comic book movies, Instead of waiting on the next Batman, Superman or whatever is more well known to people.

Dredd was also horribly marketed. Man of Steel won't be.

Talk about exaggerating.

Yes, it does.

Why does it look "meh"? What exactly do you mean by "Meh"?

It looks meh because it got more than 21 million views in less than one week and is going to be a better movie than Downeyman 3. Did you look at the posters who said it was meh? Stilt hates everything super as does Entity aka I-drop. I can't say about Tzeentch although blaming SR for the reason people won't see this movie is a laughable way to say "I don't want to see this movie".
