Son let me spoon feed you my point. I watch romantic comidies with my ole lady..other than that..I dont watch them at all. Guys who watch romantic comedies watch them because they may like the sensitive stories and emotional output. On the other hand if you watch baywatch (whitch sucked ) or americas top model....they both are horrible shows but most would watch them to see the chicks. Your point on porn....cmon man apply common sense. chocking your chicken while watching models on a runway...well you do what you like. Ill stick to real women and good movies.

megan fox is a horrible actress but you know who she is and her filmography. i'm sure you've seen more than her (almost) billion dollar transformer movies.

Exactly. As if Smallville was the first show to work out that an attractive woman can attract viewers. Pretty much every show uses that. It hardly gives a competitive edge anymore. Just keeps you in the game.

But honestly it would have more of an impact on shows like 90210, Baywatch and Melrose Place, where those shows are just full of hot girls and it's about their relationshps and there's a lot of raunchy scenes.

And yet you know what? Even shows like that have been known to flop.

Saying Smallville was only a success because of Lana Lang and later Lois Lane is like saying Transformers was only a huge hit because of Megan Fox. But Like you've rightly pointed out many of Megan Fox's films have bombed hard! And I don't see the actresses who played Lana Lang and Lois Lane on Smallville being in huge demand by every network.

i told you earlier the show was aimed at high school girls and young women. they started adding more "hot chicks" to keep viewers like you watching (which you admitted) and to get more guys interested.

the funny thing about smallville was that most of the sex appeal was in the advertisement more that the actual show. the show was already popular with the women and teens, not so much with men.

thor had cute girls but the movie was aimed at males and general public. Singer doesn't like hot chicks so he gave you hot guys

No not at all. When did they start "adding" hot chicks? Lana was there from season 1. Lois came in season 4 as a semi-occuring character. She appeared more and more as a main character when it was time for Lana to leave.

Supergirl only lasted 1 season. And wasn't even in many episodes in that season.

And finally Tess replaced Lex! Tbh Lex probably brought in more viewers.

So I'm really not seeing at which point they began to "add" hot girls just to bring in male viewers.

Me and many of my pals watched it from the first season. As did many of my female friends who were much older than teenagers.
