this movie is everything that returns should have been.. looking at these tv spots and trailers made me realize how big of a let down returns was.. *sigh* if only singer had the balls..

anyways.. looks like the man of steel will be on top of the food chain once again.. and rightfully so..

Let me preface this statement by saying everything I've seen so far looks amazing...

However, I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, and not saying it's really that big a deal, but we haven't seen in any of the trailers or clips any version of Clark Kent I'm used to. We haven't seen the goofy guy with glasses, and it doesn't seem like this version of Superman/Clark is trying to hide who he is. I understand that most of this story is an origin story, and is going to take place prior to the characterization I'm referring to, but do you all think they're going with a different approach, by not having him eventually work at the Daily Planet, or being a news reporter?

Again, not really a huge issue for me, I'm just curious.

noticed it too. Haven't seen Cavill as Clark yet. They should show him in the next tv spots. I don't want a goofy Kent. It worked for Donner Superman, but these are different times. I want a Kent closer to his comic counterpart. Having said that Clark can still be a bit dorky at times, but no where near the extent of Reeve kent.

Read this thread from the very beginning and lol.

From everyone being skeptic about snyder, to people claiming Superman movies shouldn't be made because they just won't work. SMH Blax.

In Snyder I trust, and I always did. Unlike some of the members of house of El.

Hope you're not talking about me. I trusted Snyder from the start.

Your post about being "positively interested in Snyder" was the first one I read.

True 'nuff, though I'm remembering now: TV's "Adventures of Superman" Olsen, Jack Larson, is gay.

"White." Heh. More irony.

Your memory serves you well...though if MoS' Perry White says that to 'Jenny' Olsen, I'd probably spit up whatever I might be drinking.

I think Superman could scratch his beard off with his nails. But then how does he cut his nails?? Hmm

At last, my fears are put to rest. It seems Superman wont be so nerdy in this movie.

The question isn't if I'm going to see the movie, the question now is how many times will I see it in theaters.

Reaction from a trade screening for 'Man of Steel' today have people claiming "It's the best comic book movie ever."June 14th judgment day

More early reactions. Seem very, very good.

@SixEchoJnz

Do yourself a favor........go see Man of Steel when it comes out. That's all I'm saying.

@SixEchoJnz

I am sooo going to see it again with the crowds just for the clapping that will occur at the end. :-)

I think I'll see the movie more than 3 times in theaters.

Go to Bag and Save, Target, Wal Mart, or somewhere else that sells food you can get licorice with Superman on it.

I've now heard from at least four different filmmakers who have seen the movie who are positively rabid to make the sequel. They are all rooting for Zack Snyder to take on the challenge of "Justice League" so the director's chair will be wide open for "Man Of Steel 2" and "Man Of Steel 3" and on and on.

DC Universe Reference Been Found?

In one scene of the film, Zod destroys a satellite orbiting the Earth. In this satellite seems inscribed logo of Wayne Enterprises, which obviously puts Batman and Superman in the same reality.

• THEY HAVE SHOWN NOTHING IN THE TRAILERS. Literally all the best moments have not been shown.

If true, my worries are gone.

That's nothing. Even in Superman Returns Gotham city was mentioned. It's no big deal. Nothing like Nick Fury showing up at the end of Iron Man saying he's putting together a team of superheroes.

Or Tony Stark himself appearing at the end TIH saying the same thing.
