It worked for Donner Superman, but these are different times. I want a Kent closer to his comic counterpart. Having said that Clark can still be a bit dorky at times, but no where near the extent of Reeve kent.
Let me preface this statement by saying everything I've seen so far looks amazing...However, I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, and not saying it's really that big a deal, but we haven't seen in any of the trailers or clips any version of Clark Kent I'm used to. We haven't seen the goofy guy with glasses, and it doesn't seem like this version of Superman/Clark is trying to hide who he is. I understand that most of this story is an origin story, and is going to take place prior to the characterization I'm referring to, but do you all think they're going with a different approach, by not having him eventually work at the Daily Planet, or being a news reporter?
Again, not really a huge issue for me, I'm just curious.

i'm leaning towards the matrix..
At last, my fears are put to rest. It seems Superman wont be so nerdy in this movie.

Reaction from a trade screening for 'Man of Steel' today have people claiming "It's the best comic book movie ever."June 14th judgment day
I've now heard from at least four different filmmakers who have seen the movie who are positively rabid to make the sequel. They are all rooting for Zack Snyder to take on the challenge of "Justice League" so the director's chair will be wide open for "Man Of Steel 2" and "Man Of Steel 3" and on and on.
DC Universe Reference Been Found?
In one scene of the film, Zod destroys a satellite orbiting the Earth. In this satellite seems inscribed logo of Wayne Enterprises, which obviously puts Batman and Superman in the same reality.

That's nothing. Even in Superman Returns Gotham city was mentioned. It's no big deal. Nothing like Nick Fury showing up at the end of Iron Man saying he's putting together a team of superheroes.
Or Tony Stark himself appearing at the end TIH saying the same thing.
