anyways.. looks like the man of steel will be on top of the food chain once again.. and rightfully so..

Superman Returns was a mistake with the wrong director but likely it would have had problems since it was trying to be a sequel to Superman 2 when a sequel was already made.
Add in if it was suppose to take place after Superman 2 Superman said before that movie ended he'll never abandon his responsibility again to the President of the United States but that's exactly what happens in the embarassment Superman Returns.

When you have 2 unsuccessful sequels it's time to reboot.

what irks me the most is that superman is one of the most profitable, most recognizable property DC and WB has.. they have been f*cking around for far too long.. they got batman right and nothing else.. superman should have been rebooted sooner..

I was hoping Jonah Hex to be good

but yeah look at how that turned out.

Huge Man of Steel spoiler, I'd recommand you don't read to be honest:

Spoiler:
It's been popping up in a few places, so there's a good change it's legit...

Apparently, Superman kills Zod by snapping his neck, to save somebody.

Yeah...

Up yours too Philo 🙁 my stupid phone can't hide the spoiler tags

Dear God, give me the strength of will of Superman and Johns-Force Hal, so that I may resist highlighting that spoiler tag.

@DrewAtHitfix
It is very, very intense. It deserves the PG-13. I'm still debating whether or not Toshi sees it. On the one hand, it would be downright cruel not to let him see it, but it really is a next-level brutal compared to Marvel.

Not reading the spoilers.

I've seen the whole "mind of muscle" villainy of Lex again and again, I want someone who can fight Superman with his fists, not just his mind. I wanna see some punches thrown and some heat vision ownage.

I always wondered why Superman would know how to "fight" at all. Growing up he never had to defend himself, he was never shown being trained in any hand to hand fighting, and as a bulletproof adult he never even had to try and block any attacks. He could literally let any enemy on Earth hit him until they broke their hands, kick him until their feet/legs broke, shoot him until they were out of bullets or launch missiles/shells/grenades at him until they were out of ammo.

For offense, he can just run/fly into people which will knock them down/out, stay out of range and laser them, or simply pick them up and drop from height. If he were nasty, he could always just pull their limbs/head off like we pull apart old GI Joe dolls.

So why would he have a clue how to fight? The first being who could walk up to him and punch him in the face hard enough for him to feel it would probably make him cry. Really! It would shock him that much!

You do know that Clark had teachers right?

Batman was one of them, and am pretty sure he learned a 2 from Diana.

Even more so, is that he knows his heritage style of fighting.

1. I am looking at it from the perspective of the movies- this is a reboot showing Superman's origins, I doubt he will interact with anybody but humans until the badguy comes along.

2. Let's say it is 20 years later, and Supes has now trained with Batman and Diana and some monks, and a giant steel training robot he built himself. That is still like having one fighter train on a punching bag and another (Zod, Non, Bizarro, Apocalypse, whoever) train by actually fighting other superbeings over and over again. I say Superman, until after he has many years of hand to hand fighting training with other beings physically equal to him (maybe Supergirl or Martian Manhunter, maybe Green Lantern could hit him hard enough), would get his butt kicked.

Eiditic memory, probably IF he has that power on the comics.

Because that is a really good point.

On this "real" setting He is at disadvantage because Zod has military training.

Clark MIGHT have a little bit more experience with his powers.

But who knows how are they going to explain this.

Probably He traveled around the world like Wayne.
