Avengers had been building up for 5 years. The fact people even dare compare MoS to avengers is an accomplishment IMO.

Well, if this is the film that's 'supposed' to lead to a shared DC Universe, then the true comparison is to the first Iron Man. How's that comparison looking?

All of the Transformers films are ranked below 50% and they were all big time money makers. The score on RT means nothing to a film like this. I'm still guessing for a 75 million OW. What's everyone elses guesses?

100 mill.

Think it should easily hit that.

I'm going to say 100, but wont be doing more then 300 domestic

👆 That is what I wish people compared it to. It only makes sense, but you know people rarely make sense.

My friend saw this at a special screening yesterday and both his girlfriend and him liked it a lot. Looks like the GA will eat this up, because I see way more positives than negatives on Twitter.

Good news so far.

Just came back from a midnight screening.

Don't know how i feel about the movie just yet, but certainly TDK is much better.
That being said the movie is quite good, good story, great performance, Shannon is simply great as Zod, so is Carvill as Supes, everyone else is either good with what they're given or at most serviceable.

Action is a plenty, none of the Snyder slowdown, definitly ha is best movie yet. Battles are pretty good and simply devastating. I'm quite impress with the overall deathtoll (and i don't mean Krypton), that took me by surprise for sure.

The CG really irks me though, is good, great most of the time, the ammount pf destruction is surprising, it's just that it still looks fake when they involve humanoids. The transition between CG and real action is jarring, especially when it involves fights, but i guess that's just inevitable.

Supes and Zod showdown is the highlight though, even when it goes matrix reloaded/revolution with effects, there's really no other way to have done it.

I guess it will take another viewing to warm up more to it, I just can't shake the feeling I expected a bit more from it.

Must be I expect the sequel or something.

Fun note: I laughed so hard at the dildos 😂... You'll see what I mean... Or maybe you won't, but it wasn't just my dirty mind though, the friend i went with saw them too 😄

Without spoiling is there any easter eggs the film?

Current score is 61%. I'm telling you, it will be lucky to stay above 50%. I think this movie will be a hit with the GA and the fans, but not necessarily critics. They're still too caught up in the Reeve's movies and marvel's action comedies for this type of superhero movie.

Critics can go to hell. I never expected them to like it, nor does it matter.

Yes there are.

Well, it's officially certified rotten on RT now, as it is at 59% and dropping quickly. At least people who aren't reviewers seem to think it rules.

Ugh, the CG is what killed movies like Matrix Reloaded/Revo and I Am Legend for me.

58% for critics isn't all that bad for an action movie tbh. I'm scanning the top critics, and it seems as if two thirds of them consider it 'fresh', and many of those who gave it a 'rotten' review consider 'B-' and '3/5' to be 'rotten' scores--I think many of those reviews are calling it underwhelming rather than crappy. I've enjoyed (and recommended) many movies that I consider to be B- or 3/5 flicks. Instinct with Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr springs to mind.

Very early on one of the producers hyped the movie as the "Godfather" of superhero movies, which I thought was laughably overreaching. Even so I'm not going to hold this film to the same standards as I would a pure drama.

Shame about the ratings, but I'll go see it anyway.
