Clearing debris? Carrying supplies? Both good points. Ah, I can see the glint of new skyscrapers already, well in time for the sequel.

And who would get the contract? - Lex Luthor. 😉 And so it would begin...

Though, wouldn't it be neat to also see Wayne Enterprises on items in the city, too...

Action was great. the rest of the movie sucked big time.

I don't think the film ducks those questions, about how much Superman could be responsible just by being on Earth to begin with; similar questions get raised in the Avengers and The Dark Knight. But ultimately he's not to blame, anymore than Thor is for Loki's jealous rage or Batman is for the Joker. In the end, a guy with bad intentions and an overwhelming edge on his opposition is going to do what he's going to do. Blaming Superman for Zod is like blaming the Jews for the Holocaust.

Hope nobody takes that out of context.

saw this movie again today.. and i have to say it was better the second time around.. i was so excited the first time, the only scenes that i absorbed properly were the krypton scenes.. this time was a better experience.. i was able to follow the story better and the easter eggs were more easy to spot and were more satisfying.. like the wayne enterprise logo on the sattelite was pretty big, but due to the action, it's easily missed.. the final fight with zod was slowed down in my perspective.. i can see more of the punches landing, i can see more people fleeing the scene.. it's like having man-o-steel-a-vision.. it was awesomer.. the pros really outweighs the cons so much.. this was a great superman movie.. i was a great movie, period.. and i dunno what these haters are referring to but kal-el and lois had pretty good chemistry.. and considering the powers zod and kal-el had, it's no wonder that the collateral damage would be so much.. and if you think superman won't help, then you don't know squat about superman..

also,

Spoiler:
i love how he was addressed as superman only once this movie.. probably the reason why lois keep calling him clark..

MOS isn't doing well in it's 2nd weekend as it dropped 70% so far. It's not looking like it will get passed 300 million now.

Nah, 300 mill is still easily in play. And the drop isn't that bad considering WWZ and MU both released this weekend.

It's a tough week but it did get 12.7m, ranked #3, arm, it's 181 domestic. I'm sure it can make another 119

‘Man Of Steel’ Speeds To $345.6M Worldwide

It's actually 400 million WW as of now. It was #1 at the foreign boxoffice again.

From all the strong competition, it looks like it might not do 300M, but it should still do a little bit more TASM domestic and MAYBE in OS as well.

The adults went to WWZ and the kids went to Monsters U this weekend so it's not surprising it went to 3rd place as I suspected it would. I still suspect it will reach 300 million though. Doing some research ASM had a 10 day total of 165 million while MOS has a 10 total of 198 million and that isn't including the Wal-Mart showings. And there is still 3 big foreign markets that haven't seen the realease yet and those countries are Brazil, Australia, and Japan so it's gonna make money no matter what.

Superman Returns having a higher rating than this movie proves that a lot of people are retarded.

Well on IMDB MOS has a 8.0 rating and SR has a 6.2 so that isn't entirely true.

Saw it a second time this weekend, taking my 13 years old nephew. Now knowing the structure ahead of time, I sat back and was enjoying it more. And my nephew thought it was great.

I have to say, I LOVED this movie! It takes the number 2 spot right behind Avengers for me. There are two complaints about this movie, that I think aren't very well thought out.

About Pa Kent's wanting Clark to hide who he is, I believe this was for his own protection. As a child, and even as a young man, Clark was not yet mature. I think stories like "It's Superman!" show how a young, naive Clark was ripe for manipulation, and prone to the lures of fame and power. Pa Kent felt like Clark needed to understand his purpose on Earth, as well as develop the experience and maturity necessary to use his abilities for the good of the planet.

As for the death and destruction Superman was involved in, I don't blame him for it. Remember that for his whole life, Superman has been the most powerful being in the world. Just take a look at his face while he is fighting Faora, he is legitimately shocked that ANYONE could dodge him! He wasn't exactly thinking rationally when he first attacks Zod, who was threatening Ma Kent, and didn't expect him to be able to respond, or for Faora and her partner to be the threat they were.

As for his later fight, Zod didn't give him a choice. Zod attacked first, then declared that he'd kill humanity to make him pay, meaning that Superman's only option to save as many lives as he could, was to take down Zod as quickly as he could. Remember, this is his debut as a superhero, and after

Spoiler:
he kills Zod, who was the last of his race,
I see him going to much greater pains to avoid the death and destruction of all life, especially human.

It shows Critics are retarded and should never be listened to. They're the ones who have rated SR so high and MOS so low.

General audiences have rated MOS a lot higher.

I generally agree with a few critics, but they got this one wrong.
