Colossus vs Mr. Fantastic

Started by H. S. 619 pages

If I recall correctly, Colossus becomes complete organic steel. As in, his entire body, inside and out.

Therefore, I seriously doubt Reed would be able to hurt him, even from the inside.

In Astonishing, Colossus bled liquid metal. That alone tells us that his insides can still be mushed.

Which is why it's a stalemate 😐

Reed can simply relax his muscles to the point in which he is basicly a big pile of goo

Sebastian Shaw was super-charged with kenetic energy too. He's alot stronger than Reed is. Plus it turns out it was a physic attack and Colossus was not actually fighting Shaw.

hmm, curiouser and curiouser. his INSIDES become steel? i thought i'd seen him bleed as well, jr . . . this may call for some searching . . .

I understant that, but i was just trying to make a point that Colossus's insides arent as hard as one would think. Secondly, although it was a psy attack, did he not really still bleed?

I know this may not count considering its the Ultimate Universe, but Colossus also cried in Ultimate X-Men while still in armored form.

I get what youre saying and posting snoop, but although his insides may very well be steel, its clear that his insides isnt as durable is his outside. Like stated in one of your scans, even his blood turns into steel. Still liquified though apparently.

So Reed feels no pain?

Can Reed bend steel? Colossus' body is far stronger than ordinary steel.

Can Reed bend steel? Im sure he can to a degree depending on the object and how dense it is. I agree that Colossus's body is much stronger than regular steel. Although i havent read the entire thread, is Reed given any type of prep here? A weapon or something?

Prep was not stated and would not even be fair then. Reed would win 10/10. This is normal abilities.

If thats the case, im inclined to say stalemate. True Colossus can tie him in a knot a stretch the hell out of him, but i wonder if Reed can turn himslef into a giant slighshot and fling Colossus into something as durable as him and hopefully get a knockout?

For now i say 5/5 split. I can be swayed.

Stalemate is the most likely but stamina will come into play eventually and Colossus has that in spades. Plus Reed would need alot of leverage to bend steel I assume and inside the tiny crevices he would not have any leverage.

Colossus body=steel.

There has been a few cases in the past where he has been shown to have a energy inside of his body but the "solid steel" cases far overwhelm those.

in x-men 211-212 colossus's form was 'punctured' by riptide's stars. he did ineffective bleed, but it was energy -- and it WAS killing him.

that said, it was quite clear from that issue that he IS steel through and through (mag's could feel and control every atom in his body . . .) nor do i think reed could generate near the force riptide could. i'm still left wondering if reed could do anything to his insides, but since i can't say for sure, i'd have to call this a stalemate, or give c the slight edge based strictly on his ability to continue fighting for much longer than reed could.

and good scans snoop. 😉

Consider me swayed. Colossus for the majority.

In a later issue Riptide tries the same thing. The stars bounce off harmlessly.

Okay, I've thought it through, and I'm going to go with Colossus.

Because he never had his wife leave him for being a huge jerk.

Somewhere, Sue is saying, "Mr. Fantastic? Not where it counts."

(Yeah, I stole that from Wizard magazine... but I was meaning it a little cleaner than they did)

Umm...Colossus has never been married 😐

That hasn't stopped him from cheating on Kitty numerous times though 🙄
