I call very few people "dumb". But, when I do, I mean it. Even Planet here isn't stupid - just an egotistical person who overvalues and overestimates his opinion in regards to canon, not understanding that his opinion means jack in the face of cold, hard evidence.
Hence my anthology of quotes from him in my profile. It's a shrine to egotism. 😛

The precise point I was making (and it has been made, it seems) was that Obi-Wan's duration in the duel against Count Dooku is not credited only to his skill; it is equally credit to Anakin's skill as well as the Count's arrogance.

Count Dooku was "a true Dark Lord of the Sith". Last time I checked, he was apprenticed to a Sith Master, knew several Sith techniques, and was called "Darth Tyranus", and Yoda fought him twice. The second time, even, he battled Count Dooku on Vjun, where Dooku's powers would be amplified by the dark side, and Yoda's own would be dampened.
He knew enough about the Sith to have more knowledge of their lore than any Council member, and he knew enough to gauge Sidious's power to the point that he refused to send Obi-Wan to confront him, and that was before they had ever fought - especially when Yoda has experienced, first hand, the sort've power that Anakin wielded.
Sorry, that excuse is just lame, and it doesn't hold water.
Yoda got blasted because he got cocky, and Sidious got chucked across the room because he got cocky.
