"Ah, there, no, I can't help you. But even if I could, I would not.

"You see..." he frowns again. "This is difficult..." You get the feeling he doesn't think you would understand it if he said it as he sees it. "The very point of the situation the door creates is that you absolutely must not know what is behind it when you decide if you should open it or not. To know what was behind it would irrevocably affect your decision about whether to open it or not, and make the choice about the opening... well, worthless. In the context."

"I agree it would but do you know anyone who has an idea what is behind it?"
Berserker asks

"Hmm," says Lo Qi. "Do you want my help? Because I suspect I know why the Oracle sent you to me."

"Your help would be valued."

"It would be indeed."

"Yes that would be nice"

"Yes. of course. So... why do you normally go to the Oracle?"

"For information and advice."

"Yes. But she didn't help you with this question, did she?"

"We usually end up leaving from visits with her with more questions than we went there with."

"She pointed us to someone who may be more knowledgeable," Heph says.

"Questions are an avenue to knowledge," says Lo Qi. "But in this case... I really think she couldn't help you. In fact, I suspect she told you she couldn't help you, but you probably just thought it was one of her games."

"Doesn't she know everything? Well... enough."

Berserker laughs
"Yeah I thought it was a game of hers"

"Well," says Lo Qi. "Not this time. She really can't help you. Can you see why not?"

"Maybe because no one is supposed to know what is behind the door?"

"But that's not the question in front of you."

"Yeah I think I see it now so should I say because WE aren't supposed to know?"

"That depends on your basis behind saying 'supposed'. But your puzzle is about whether you should open the door or not, despite not knowing what is behind it. That is what you want help with. Why couldn't the Oracle help you?"

"Does she also not know what's behind it?"
