USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 SECOND ASSIGNMENT- 'The Monastery'

I'll continue to keep running along side Azrael and San.

Storm said Mirage is going through the sidedoor.

Well, time's up, Burn just unloaded everything into that Agent. That took him a turn to do so, the Agent will lose a turn, he basically has a split second to make something of it.

Mirage, you have found yourself in a rather large side room, full of discarded books of every description.

This place is almost a shrine to text. Aside from the carpet of books, every inch of wall and ceiling space is filled with writing. Sentence after sentence after sentence, in dozens of different languages. This carries on for quite a long way due north, where there is another door that Finn says will rejoin you onto the main escape route.

Heph, you are sneaking along eastwards. You are now apparently starting to hover over some of the personal rooms of the Monastery's east wing. ou can hear voices up ahead (down below), including the unmistakeable deadpan of an Agent.

You're going to have to sneak along overhead almost in plain sight- a very nasty Intrusion roll.

Balder is up and Hawk is up...

San, Fire, Azrael- this area ends in a high balcony with a magnificent view over the northern slope of the Mountainside. You can see it up ahead. It is also where the monastery ends...

More Balconies...

I hope you guys like climbing.

Ares will just run after the others, then, since he can't shoot and run.

Climbing ain't going to cover this one; the balcony juts out a fair way from the wall.

That puts an Agent immediately on your tail, Ares... which further complicates Melis' issues, as that Agent is between her and you, and more generally, between her and freedom.

Run and jump...?

Well, and now we know why we were told to save AL...

Should be fun. 😉

"We jumping?" Azrael asks.

(Hey, Heph, good thing you have SC, right? 😛)

"I can't see any other way out of here." San replies.

I take it neither Operator is free at the moment?

Could Melis go the direction that Mirage went?

Indeed, San!

Heph can tap SC to pass this very risky roll!

Well then,
A very desperate Burn see's his split second of oppertunity. He drops a Grenade at the ground, rushes into teh N/S Corridor, quickly jams the door with his mac-10 and runs towards the clock tower.
(that seem like it would work?) Dropping the grenade to not only cover his sound, but to mess up the agent even more and hopefully pile some debris in the agents way?

"Jumping does indeed seem to be our only option. So you all better make sure you're believing real hard"

Burn- two issues. First of all, that Mac-10 is a very poor door jammer

Secondly, it solves nothing. You won;t be free of pursuit when you reach the tower. it's not about being ahead of the Agent, it is about having lost him. If he gets to the tower and realises everyone is up there, everyone from heph to you in that situation is finished.

People still need to keep up with who is on the phone to whom...

Melis- you have no idea there is an exit there.

So... what is the Abundant Leaping situation?

I guess those of us who have it are tapping it, and those who don't...are in a bit of trouble?

Well, then something more might be needed.

And that would be?

(I've got no idea)

Like looking at the situation form the point of view that those without AL cannot make the jump.

Don't all three of us have it?

Would climbing down the wall by going over the balcony just at the start of it possible for them, while the rest of us make our flying leap of death?
