Actually as far as arguments go, Chaos clearly had a better handle on his own standpoint and support for that standpoint.I agree that just because the reader can see inside the mind of the Marvel heroes, does not necessarily mean the government or average person can do the same, so making the government out to be villians with a negative agenda is unfair. Perhaps heroes should have some resitrictions placed on them, but then again, considering myself a Liberal person, I prise free rights above all things, and though it is clear that these heroes break the law, they should not- as Falcoln said- "be turned into supercops", further strengthening the federal government and increasing the liklihood of an eventual fascist nation.
Though it looks good on paper, a Utopian society is not something you want to be a part of.
As far as where my allegience lies; I can sympethise with Stark, as he does make sense, but being a lapdog for the government is something only ill cam come of, which is part of the reason I tentatively side with the Rebels in this storyline, as I respect the misery characters such as Spider-man, Daredevil, and other "street" fighters would have to go through with this law imposed on them, and also- as King Kam said, they have a job to do, legal or not.... Take president Bush for example, while in office he has broken over 700 US laws and essentially attempted to remove certain amendements, the 4th most specifically, from the Constitution of the United States. I do not think this is the same situation, as I do not feel Bush is justified in what he is doing, but I side with Cap and hopefully Spider-man if he switches sides.
