I don't see Spidey shacking up with Silver Sable or Black Cat anytime soon...Emma was a murderer during that period of her life, a villian and Ironman just slept with her? (Sure she's hot but so is Selene...and I find it hard to picture Capt, Thor or Spidey shacking up with a bad girl like Emma Frost just because they find her hot.

Me...well aside from the usual quip i post I believe that the government (while trying to do the right thing) are getting a little too heavy handed and hypocritical.

Let's all rage at the heroes when they kill hundreds of people....but not when it happens to the dirty muties.

No. Its not the same. If someone wants to become a police to help someone, if they hurt someone or damage something in the process they are held accountable. If someone at NASA or the CIA or FBI mess up there is accountability. It has to be the same for heroes.

Darkcrawler has already answered this one. Because they have identities and maybe families to protect. Doing it on the government payroll isn't gonna help keep it a secret. they may as well do a spider-man and get it out in the open, so the villains can go for the families straight away...........

As far as I know niether the public nor the Government know that Emma was once a villianess...all the members of the Hellfire Club have been saved from public scorn.

Reputation...who knows...this is the first time I'm hearing that she had a relationship with him...he did however mention that she's changed(Which could mean a lot of things) and he is IronMan so he should have known...she also killed a corrupt human in Morrison's run of New X-Men(She was on the X-Men team) and nobody seemed to care...

BTW I guess apprehending her would have been pointless though as the Hellfire Club is very very resourceful....

I agree that the government only seems to care when its their own that die, but that doesn't mean that its the not right thing to do. It just means that it took the wrong kind of motivation and wrong intentions

Ironman doesn't sleep with every evil person he comes across.
And doesn't he have his own files on the baddies? The X-Men have come across the Inner Circle plenty of times...surely they would have mentioned it to him? I mean she was partly to blame for the Rise of the Dark Phoenix.

Fury, the majority of the time always had some kind of preparation if he were going after a meta or peak being. S.H.I.E.L.D has a counter for almost every Earth based villain or hero. Most not all. Plus identities were known with or without the persons consent. Not to toot Fury's horn here but if he were there and wanted people to join him, hed have alot more members than they(without Fury)already do.

S.H.I.E.L.D now seems watered down imo.

I don't care if Namor wasn't slapping her. Hell, Nick would be even better.
