I don't understand. Do you mean that now some secretary is gonna know? There have been many an ocassion where Daredevil and Spider-Man have walked around the helicarrier without their masks. Besides why are you assuming now the identities won't be as heavily guarded as they were before?

Before it was SHEILD and other top secret agencies now it is the national government such as a secretary for a governer who blabs to her barber or something because they did not know

So...aren't cops "looking for trouble" then?
Yes, they are. The difference is that cops are trained, certified, known by the goverment, and are accountable of their actions.

But I think this whole registration sucks. I mean look what happened to Peter's life. Everybody knows you, everybody knows who you are, you won't have a normal private life.

everyone is over looking the big icture, sure shield would train them extenisvley but that would also give them the perfect opprtunity to study them insode and out so that they can know all thier weaknesses when they inevitably defect...i said inevitably sir!! then the next time wanna these yahoos wanna rob a bank, or save somebody's life they blast them with some device that shorts out thier powers

Yes, I understand that. But it's not as black and white as you're making it appear.

Now, answer this as if you were a superhero. For real.

You're a superhero. Doesn't matter what your powers are. You have a loving wife, two kids, and your parents are still alive as well. This is in addition to many close friends, friends that are like brothers to you.

You have extremely powerful enemies. Enemies that could destroy your loved ones with the hand of their hand or use them against you to further their own personal agenda without you interfering. Your only advantage is that they don't know who you are, so they don't know who your loved ones are to attack them.

Now, if you knew for sure, or least 99.9% positive that they would do this if they knew who you were, would you really take such a chance as to register? I know they say it'll be "safe and secured", but how often does that happen in comics? That info will be accessed almost as soon as it's entered. Truthfully, honestly, would you really sign your loved ones' lives over if it meant following the law? Would you really?

Knowing the government already has my identity ANYWAY I would still register. Now I wouldn't out myself to the press. Besides how would getting outed in the media as an outlaw and thrown in jail make my family and friends any safer. It would put them in more danger. By registering I'm giving up information they already have with the promise of constant surveillance of all my loved ones and the added protection of highly trained SHIELD agents and other heroes.

Heh...I can only imagine what would happen if Wanda decided to return....

"You ungrateful peons!! I remove my father from the equation and the world spirals into chaos...that's it no more superpowers"....

Or she could just repower all the mutants meaning the publics concerns would be diverged away from the Civil War...

How now some secretary in the goverment knows instead of a high class agent or goverment official
"some secretary in the goverment " won't know. The information will be handle as Top Secret. The only people who will even get to look at it must have 1) clearance to know. 2) a need to know. Do you think that a guy on capital hill can find out everything about an NSA or CIA agent just because their a senator?

If you were a hero who tended to go rogue wouldn't you want someone to know how to stop you before you seriously hurt someone?

Thats why there are other heroes

Yes, if I felt it was my duty to continue fighting crime for the sake of humainty.

Yea, we've seen how well SHIELD works against superheroes. Cap alone put down a whole room of them. Why does my family feel so protected right now...

And they can't watch all of your loved ones at the same time. Especially if they're not in your family.

And the trick is to not get thrown in jail, to avoid the jailing process the same way they've been doing since their careers began.

And I feel sorry for your loved ones then. I would do everything I could to keep them protected. Especially since they can also use them as bargaining chips/hostages to make you their plaything instead of just killing them.

If they try hard enough why not there are lots of scandles that are found out why not that

I can honestly say that I'd feel sorry for your loved ones then. And for everyone you've worked so hard to protect as soon as your family is used to make you do your enemies' bidding.

That's because nobody REALLY wants to fight Cap. He's a legend.

That's it, I quit for now. The more I post, the slower I scan.

And waht about all the NSA, CIA, FBI, US Marshals, Air Marshals, US Service Members overseas, etc.? Do you feel the same for them.

I do but they choose that as a job it was not inforced unless you meant in the past where people were drafted

The difference is, that they don't have enemies who can level a small city with a thought. If heroes were stopping normal crooks, then it would be fine...but usually, when a hero stops a villain, the vilain develops a personal vendetta...

So you really mean to tell me that you would rather run the risk of going to jail because you don't trust the government. You go unregistered yet you know if you get caught you'll be unmasked, your identity publicly annouced and that your villians will go after your family when your jail and that the government will probably do nothing to pretect them since you were a criminal. Talk about putting the people you care about in danger.

BTW, Cap may have taken down a room full of them but a pair took down the Young Avengers.

You say continue to evade the police like you've been doing. I'd say that having 2 overweight officers yell stop is different than having hundreds of specially trained SHIELD agents and half the superhero community hunting you down

I'm wondering if people ignore me on purpose or is it just here ?

I do, definitely. Don't get me comic logic confused with my real life logic. I definitely sympathize when them, but not NEARLY in the same way. They deal with normal humans. Not metahumans that explode on command. Or ones that can mind-control masses at a time. Or ones that can fire heat-vision from their eyes. Or ones that can toss an ocean-liner like a paperclip.

When normal authorities can handle those situations, there won't be a need for superheroes anymore. Until then, however...
