I think u mean normal criminals. Marvel Universe criminals are different. You have guys like Sabretooth, Carnage, Nitro that doesnt acre about humans lives. So I dont think normal laws apply in the MU.
But none of the people in that house were like that, were they? There were no Sabertooth's, no Carnage's, in there. And Nitro acted as any caged and cornered animal would have. He did whatever he had to to defend himself.

No one in that house were out on a killing spree. No one in that house presented an immidiate threat.

Even though he exploded more than usual, the New Warriors STILL attacked them while they were next door to a school.

Just read the storm n panther wedding issue...

what the hell was that... imo, utter shite...

They have no way of knowing that his powers were augmented due to the drugs. Im not defending them but they had no way of knowing.

Regardless of whether his powers were uped or not, they still challenged and fought a guy who explode next to a school.

So, if his powers hadn't been upgraded, he would've what? Just taken out the school bus and a chunk of the school, instead of the whole neighborhood.

I agree completely. And I think Speedball is being an idiot by not apoligizing to the public for his actions. I mean not only do they deserve an apology from him since he was the team leader, and is the one who said on TV that they weren't really prepared for the situation, but by apologizing and showing remorse he can get out of jail as well.

At the same time, I sympathize with him. I mean, he's right in a way. It wasn't his fault. Doesn't matter that they attacked the bad guys and then Nitro blew up. It really wasn't the New Warriors fault. Speedball really shouldn't apologize for the explosion. 😬

Who knows, maybe without the drugs the explosion wouldnt have been that huge, maybe it wouldve been localized to a few feet/meters. Do u actually believe that if he apologised they are letting him out? hell no, theyll crucify him faster.

The Police take down criminals who aren't in the act of a crime all the time. It's because they were criminals that they were attacked. Whether or not they were in the act of a crime is irrelevant.

No, Nitro was acting like what he is. A deranged lunatic with super powers. Now tell me, do you honestly think Nitro gave a damn about those people?

Hey I just finished re-reading the ragnarok series and at the end Thor makes references to the Odin force leaving him. This may actually be the real deal.

I just dug up my Thor #85 Ragnarok, and Actually he doesn't. He just states that "you too are fading from me". I think this means that we the readers are fading from him. 😉

How was Nitro defending himself?!? 🤨

Thats like saying a criminal with a gun surronded by police is defending himself when he starts shooting people 😐

Erg in a sense both sides are right bored

I mean heros should get training.

However, we must remember, Who Watches the Watchmen?

But, I have to agree with the Thing on the entire confrontation.

I dont agree with the law however its not worth ripping the entire community apart over 😬

The war is causing more than they are trying to avoid... Maria hill does not even bother.

I think this calls for im with Thing sig. 😮‍💨

I think speedball should apologise for jumping into a situation like that, however it's not his fault 600 + people died, it was Nitro ✅

I think blaq meant defending ones self in the context of that his face was about to become a bloody smear after Namorita nearly rammed his head through the school bus.

Okay, let's look at this from a more personal viewpoint. A private citizen sees a criminal on a crowed street and takes it upon themself to bring him in. In the exchange of gunfire, your mom takes a bullt to the head. Would it matter to you if the citizen felt remorse and took responsibility for his part in your mom's death? Would his apology anger you more than his refusal to believe that your mom's death is in any way his fault?

Yes, but we don't take them down in the middle of an area filled with civilians that will likely get killed in the process.

Let's get one thing clear. Not all killers are the same. Is Nitro in the habit of going to crowed places and blowing himself up just to see how many people he can kill? No. Does he just go out and start a killing spree, slaughtering man, woman and child, because he's got nothing better to do? No. The Joker, Carnage, and Sabertooth do this, but Nitro (and the others he was hold up with) do not. Do they kill people without sympathy? Yes. But do they kill without a cause? No.

He kills for a purpose. Rather it's to rob someone, to cover his tracks, to get revenge, or to make an escape; he kills for a purpose. You said it yourself, Nitro didn't give a damn about those people nearby. You knew he wouldn't, I knew he wouldn't, and the New Warriors knew he wouldn't; yet they still chose to engage him in battle next to a school anyway.
