Visual Storytelling at it's finest....

Good and evil fighting in the center of the universe is shown by Yoda and Sidious fighting in the center of the senate.

The first thing that can be observed is how unlike the one above, the Senate is highly populated signifying that the power still remains with the people, unlike in ROTS where the emperor has all the power and the seats are empty. I also like the way Yoda is looking at the Chancellor's seat, interesting bit of forshadowing.

BTW, I checked the dvd's and the camera pans out from the Chancellor's seat the same way in both shots.

I did this one before, but I liked these two shots better. Think of it as a "SE" post. 😛

This one is interesting, the first shot is the "family" shot, with Anakin who owns 3PO and Padme who owns R2.

It is brightly lit, in contrast to the "seperated family" shot of Padme and 3PO coming to find Anakin and R2, that is dark and red.

Bad-ass Sith apprentices tend to pace like animals when filled with hate.

This is after Anakin has tapped fully into the darkside to kill the seperatists, it is right before we cut to the shot of him on the bridge contemplating the road he's on and crying because he can't change it, and in the story it foreshadows the next major scene where he chokes Padme, fights with Obi-wan, and is injured becoming the Vader in the mask.

Just kiddin', that one was more of a visual copy than a thematic parrallel.

Besides paralleling Obi and Ani's journeys, it's another of Yoda and Sidious as the masters doing the same thing.

Oh comn guys. This thread beats 80% of the others in the room by far if nothing else by the beauty of the pictures and the memories they bring. Lay off him already.

Hey, he's doing allright. But we can also discuss whether it is indeed storytelling at its best or lack of imagination and originality.

There are some lovely parrallels indeed... but some are less so.
