Glad that this is being enjoyed... I've got WAY more than what's here, this is probably less than half.

Well, here's a few for today:

A nice visual motif, the first and last chapters of the OT begin with the same shot.

I'd done this one before, but I liked these two images better. Anakin's choice to save a Jedi, with Sith lightning reflected on his face.

Once choice creates an Empire, one ends it.

"Much anger in him, like his father."

A nice visual where Anakin and Luke are shown slipping into the darkside, but are also shown to still have the good inside.

I like how Anakin is still on the left (the villian's side) and Luke on the right (the hero's side) and the two sides of their faces that are in the light meet in the middle.

Genius!

Skywalker lashes out:

^^^"No!" "Never!" Both times they are moved to strike because the person is threatening the safety of a woman they care for.

I love these two shots. Almost identical. Night and day, light and dark...sorry I have this obsession with symmetry and duality. I find it fascinating. Everything comes full circle.

The Sith and the Jedi are similar, in almost every way...

"You are beaten!"

this next one is one of my favorites, for it's visual similarity in positions and it's visual contrast in colors, but also for it's motif in the story, and how one scene is actually the progression of an earlier one:

Yeah, I bet I make make such comparisons with LOTR or any war movie as well and suggest a universal director's conscience.

Ever noticed how the movie ET gets at least 2 more or less direct references in Episode 1.

First and obvious one is the bunch of ET's phoning home in their podium. The second one is the scene where Anakin sets up his podracer.

When it fires up this music barges in and Anakin yells: "Its working! Its working!"

Exactly same scene happened in ET when Elliot set up the phonehome-gadget. Not sure but it could even be the exact same music?

It's not the same music. But if you look closely enough at one of the girls who came running in, you can tell instantly that GL photshopped a young Drew Barrymore in there.
