Could you please clarify something? Are the powers themselves banned, or merely rule-breaking uses of the powers. For example, while I obviously can't use the disintigration ray on another character, could I use it to blast a tree or whatever? Or, while I cant use the matter manipulator on another character's body or armor, could I still use it to hit somebody with a big dirt fist or make a quickie fox-hole?

Havok should maybe be E-Meta. I'm thinking specifically of the first Genosha arc where he completely destroyed the Magistrates' Citidel with a single blast. We're talking a hardenned military installation from an army with enough advanced tech to field mutant nullifiers and teleporters for entire platoons. BOOM! gone.

I'll repeat my question about Spawn. Can we define what his limits are as an E-meta pick?

Also, can we get clarification on just what the Hawkeyes get to carry as street level picks? Hawkeye could easily class as meta with a crazy enough quivver.

He copies powers and abilities that he sees in use (Valentino describes this in the link I provided). I'm effectively starting each match without any Herald level powers in exchange for versatility.

That's why I was suggesting that Protege, Taskmaster, Echo, etc houldn't be able to retain improvements from match to match. It would give them (and me moreso than the others) an unfair advantage in the later rounds.

Is Spawn's "do anything" power reserve replenished before each match? If so, he's almost like a GL. If he can do that a limited number of times for the whole tourney that'd probably be cool.

and in comics we can see spawn doens´t fight guys at GL or superman level (before defeating malebolgia and all those feats that lead him eventually to being god-like)

his power it is not at GL levels, for the tournament, its before that, he can copy a power but not at the level of power that a GL can do, mimic can copy powers as well.

To the best of my ability to search, there is no "guidebook" style link for the Protege available. Once again, the link I provided is Jim Valentino, the writer & artist for the series who created the character providing issue by issue synopses and commentary. How is that not on par with all the some-guy-with-a-fortunecity/angelfire/geocities link? How are all the "classicmarvel" links with fan-submitted RPG stats for a game that's been out of print for 15 years ok, but my primary-source material not. I'll also point out that most of the answers.com or about.com links are in-fact just mirrors of wikipedia articles, yet they're not being challenged.

I'm sorry if I'm coming on a little strong here, but I stated exactly what that link was almost a week ago. Why is it suddenly not good enough? Again, I'd think creator commentary would be preferable to fansite content.

If it matters, I ordered every issue in which he appears from Mile-High the day after the Herald draft, anticipating the need to make up for his obscurity with scans. Frankly, I wouldn't have spent the $15 or so if I thought there were serious objections.
