Ok, we've kept you guys in suspense for long enough, our first round draft pick is.......
The Earth X version of Absorbing Man.(Scroll down to the Earth X section to read about him.)

This was the only bio that I could find, but I just PM'd Golem to see if he could track down a better one, so hopefully this is just a temp.

I thought we weren't taking characters with less than a handful of appearances?
😬
If we are, then I know exactly who we're drafting next... he may only have two comic appearances ever but he'll be virtually invincible still and still under Thanos level

Well this is basically just an amped up version of the regular AM, so batdude cleared it(because the only difference is that he can "remember" how to turn into stuff).
Every what if/elseworlds type character is "basically the same" as their regular universe counterpart .... only difference is they usually get insane power ups as they are only ever intended to appear in one or two stories.... and they almost always lose whatever weakness/flaws they have in regular continuity.
I personally don't feel that these characters should be allowed in the tourney.

well what about a compromise? we dont we set a number of things he can turn into? and maybe ban certain stuff like adamantium, or is that too harsh?

But it's not an insane power up. He just doesn't have to touch stuff anymore. That means that we'll have to use things that he's most likely to have absorbed in the past. We'll probably be using example's of "regular" AM absorbing stuff.
that could work...

I dunno, i can see that choice causing alot of wasted debate on what he can and can't turn into. Say you want to turn him into adamantium, for example, unless you can prove that that version of the character has done so before, it'll never be valid.
1. I believe pr completely when he says that he wouldn't be planning to use Darwin's insta-adapt, but at the same time it's the principle of that matter that counts. He can do it. And I just browsed his respect thread....he's walking PIS. You might not plan on it, but I don't think anyone would want it just sitting there as a possible escape route.
2. Are they legitimately trying to make a case for Earth X Absorbing Man? Scant showings aside (it's 1 issue. Yeah, just 1) I think we need to realize that he could become smarter than a gaggle of supercomputers and instantaneously change into anything for the situation. It's like Braniac with The Doctor's powers (not quite, but almost).
