though this is true, if the entire battle was just the mere 30, regardless, they'd be beaten eventually. It wasn't long after this battle Alexander The Great's Father, Philip of Macedonia lead Greece back into Persian territory after burning Athens. Might I add Xerxes anger towards Leonidas, he crucified his already dead body.

I love the ending of the movie. It has an impending-pwnsession feeling to it. 🙂

unfortinetly according to Herodotus, he died in the midst of the battle early on, on the last day, despite the fricken awesome ending of the movie. Who knows Herodotus could be wrong.

Meh. I prefer the movie version, as the theatrical ending left me much more then satisfied.

hell yeah, I totally agree. And Leonidas was so utterly badass what with the ogre scene and the ending!

I still think it needed at least an hours more killing and butchery. Plus, Frank Miller completely dodged the gay issue, which I really think he should have addressed instead of dancing around.

Leonidas was badass, co-sign that shit. 😄

✅ Yes, the movie DID give him respect in spades, which was nice to see. He was the best of the best. Definitely badass. As was his wife, I might add...
