The only bad thing about the movie was Gwen. There was really no purpose or need for her at this point in the story and especially the movie at all. IMO
They just wanted to throw her name into the mix. I think.

I was actually kinda impressed with Venom.
I mean yea I still hate the idea of Topher Grace playing him cause it is bullshit but, he did a hell of a lot better than I thought he could do. It did take a little while to get into him being Eddie thou. But when him and the symbiote finally merged I thought it worked well.

Your right about the action scenes. Whoa, just whoa. Especially at the end with all of them. I really liked that team up. Makes me almost wish they'd bring him back form the dead.

Venom was nothing like the character... he was basically just a very angry, black spider-man. Costume wise, it was great. But, he never said "we, us, ours, etc." when adressing himself. He was never even called Venom until the credits... and Venom, in comics, was never particularily evil. He was destructive, but he thought Spidey was the villain.
They just got the character wrong...

You've gotta think thou. When Venom first became Venom, he was particularly evil. He was so consumed with anger and revenge and the symbiote's influence that it took Eddie a few years to see past it and learn how to control the symbiote. So for Venom in the beginning that was pretty right. I mean Venom has taken hostages before so that was nothing new.
The Venom your thinking about didn't come along till years later. When fans begged for him to be made a hero or antihero rather.
And Still Venom tends to go back to his old ways from time to time.
