What exactly are his energy capabilities, and is the staff the only "construct" he uses regularly? Because I don't really have a problem with his power level, but I'd rather not have a round 2 choice come back to bite us in the bum with a bunch of round 3-style energy manip (unless it's a character I pick 😉 ).

That was only his first appearance though, after that Mangog wasn't the same ... and I think he did manage to take over asgard as well.
mangog? a GREAT pick imo -- perfect level for this tourney.
all-star? never read his stuff, but why is everyone against him? is their something on panel that shows he is above thanos? is there even anything that might allude to it? 😕
union? don't know anything about him. 😬
dc raised the exact point i raised several pages back -- there is a LOAD of room between thanos and ss. people seem content to choose herald levellers. coolio. just don't be ticked when someone picks someone more powerful yet STILL below thanos.

Technically all star supes has more strength feats than Thanos.
I dont feel like he should be let in because as far as we know, he is Supesx3 which is atleast thanos level.
On mangog, he is physically greater than Thanos, but he is weak to psychic assault, and if you can get his mouth open you can destory him internally.
But on a note...Mangog has only been beaten by mostly comic related things, to put him in a tourney as a brick doesnt seem fair, considering he can outbrick thanos.
I'm stoked about possibly rumbling with He-Man. I briefly drafted him in the old amalgam tourney I was in, but then he was promptly banned (infinite anything scared the snot out of them back then).

Meh, as long as he doesn't pull any round 1 style magic outa his bum, I'm cool with Mangog. He's just a slow tard that's not unlike Juggernaut....little more strength, little less durability.

I've been somewhat reliably informed that Union can pull GL type tricks with his constructs... even though he primarily uses them for the little staff thing, he can create other objects if he wants to.
