Nope, I was wrong. Mangog was about to destroy the universe by using the Odinsword, and Odin attacked him... from behind, and beat him.

But still, Surfer is faster than Superman (more than three times over) and he did squat against thanos. That is about the only thing that he exceeds Thanos in and it would not do him any good 😬

Speed is capped. Doesnt matter how fast they can go (like say Surfer/Glads/Superman) everyone is gonna be limited to a certain point for the tourny

Yes, lightspeed, still lightspeed with 3x as much strength as Superman, that has efficently used a speedblitz on more than one occasion...
"Could", is basically the answer to the Surfer question...
You believe he could... do you have any proof, without external powerups?
And with this proof, has he ever used this "strength" against Thanos?
