there are times -- rare times -- where i really can't understand what goes on in these threads. i love superman as much as anyone, (and have defended him a number of times even AGAINST thanos) but i DO understand at times like this why some people really hate superman when these kinds of results occur.
is there a top tier hero who, 1on1, has even come close to CHALLENGING thanos? ❌
could supes do some damage? sure. but that's as far as it goes i'm afraid . . .

Obviously. But Thanos is a Darkseid copy. Thanos' creator always wanted to write Darkside but because he never got a chance to he created Thanos as a subsitute. Basically he addmitted that Darkseid was the character he wanted to write and settled to creating Thanos (who does share some similarities with Darkseid outside of appearance).

Superman's physical durability pre and post-crysis prevents him from getting pasted by a single punch from anyone, let alone Thanos. It's a toss-up in my view. Thanos' physical strength is hard to gauge, his energy based powers would be expected to be a big factor but Supes has invulnerability to everything but pure magic.

That's not the actual tally. The problem is that there is a lame forum troll who keeps creating accounts (he's created at least 5 today alone) and uses his brand new accounts to vote for Superman. To top it off he's had at least 5 of those accounts banned today, and will probably have another 2-3 banned tomorrow if he keeps it up.
The actual tally of true votes instead of lame troll votes of accounts that were created for trolling purposes is probably about 80 % for Thanos. It's pretty sad when someone has to create 10 different accounts (most likely more than that even) just to hype up his favorite character.

I looked up some google information and searched his past here.... this guy gets his kicks off of creating alternate identities, to back up his own posts and try and it make seem like it's someone else. The true tally would be around 50 Thanos 10 Superman or so, and yes, he has that many accounts. The mods must be having a field day.
As to why someone gets their kicks off of using socks to create hundreds of different forum accounts over the years, who knows, he's probably sitting in his parent's basement thinking of what lame post he can come up with next.

I know Whirly really well from another forum, I can assure you that although he may have socked and trolled this forum today, he would not have done it for the reasons you have accused him of, above.
