This thread still going, anyhow I give Thanos the edge but I think Supes can easily take him to the limit. Supe's is faster, more durable and equally as strong as Thanos and unlike SS Kent wont be fighting like a complete jackass.

I agree that Thanos' durability is probably higher than Superman's. However, in terms of strength, there is no evidence that Thanos is superior to Supes'. Thanos has practically zero lifting feats compared to Superman. So, saying Thanos is physically stronger than Superman is unfounded. It is Thanos' superior durability along with his other powers that put the Titan above Superman...not his strength. I believe Superman would defeat Thanos in any test of strength.

I've actually followed this thread from the beginning. I've seen some really good points for both sides. Some intelligent stuff ( maybe not as polite as it could have been between gentlemen but valid none the less. )I respected everyone's viewpoint and wanted to make a post that would be based on my own understanding. I decided to go and read through a bunch of issues with both characters really grinding. I could be wrong of course , however at the end of the day in my humble opinion Superman would get hurt kinda bad 9/10 and maybe that's even pushing it. He'd make sure that Thanos knew he was in a fight ,but Thanos is just to much for Supes. Now if you were speaking PC Supes that wouldn't even be a fight.

Also, Doomsday has virtually no lifting feats. He's weak. Superman would kick his ass. 🙂

You wank on Thanos about as much as Quan does. And no, Thanos is not known for using his fists as much as Supes and Doomsday do. Thanos relies on other means..primarily.. to defeat his opponents in battle.
