Thanos vs Superman

I definitely don't think Superman is stronger than Thanos. Thor has feats that are definitely comparable to Supes, and he's in the same strength class as Supes. Savage Hulk, at his normal strength functioning strength, (before he gets pissed,) is about as strong as normal Superman. Prof Hulk has a functional strength just slightly below Savage Hulk's. Herc has insane feats of strength, (holding up the Earth, etc.) and he's easily in Supes class.

Thanos smacked around these three + Thing without trying. Even sundipped, I don't see Supes matching Thanos. Thanos can increase his strength to incalcuable propotions with cosmic power. Any way you put it, Thanos is stronger.

A miniature artificial black hole iirc. And as the text says what he held was some of the energy to prevent it to be released. Thats not holding a black hole aka a real deal.

"The Midgard Erpent does not have infinite mass. I've got the comic down satirs, and there has been no reference to it ever weighing Infinite mass"

The infinite mass thing comes from the myth. Thor had more than two meetings with the serpent at Marvel. Maybe it was adressed in any of those something about his suposse weight.

You mean Superman or average kryptonian? What examples do you have of the normal kryptonian strenght for you to say theyr stronger than the average asgardian or olympian.

Btw that scan of Thanos figthing Thing and Thor is pre power up. And he was still smacking them. About Thanos not having h2h skills. Id say its wrong, he was the one who trained Gamora.

That's a cover scan. Supes isn't moving War World in that scan.

Not that scan...here I will post it again for you. A heavily armored world with counterthrusters at full blast is an incredible feat no matter how you cut it. Supes wasnt even struggling...he was having a conversation while doing it.

Let me clear that up. Average kryptonian under a yellow star. We've had 3 kryptonian criminals, Supergirl, and even a dog..and all of them have been very very strong. At least 2 versions of Zod.

It most certainly is. I'm not trying to undercut a sundipped Supes. He's among the most powerful non-abstract beings in any universe.

How much did Birthright changed the post crisis origin? The byrne one had kal`s father working on his genes for him to be able to power himself and survive under our sun. First versions of post crisis Zod and Supergirl wer from another timeline. Pre crisis Superboys timeline.

What im trying to ask is, are all of those - regular - kryptonians before they get under the yellow sun or are special cases such as genetic manipulation, being from another reality etc ? Would Jor El have Supermans powers if he came to earth today?

He becomes a complete cosmic being at that level, able to project incredibly powerful energy. Both Braniac and Imperiex were extremely impressed with his level of power and his potential.

They all get powered under a yellow sun. No genetic manipulation needed.

I haven't followed this thread from the beginning because I thought it would be over quick but, is there anybody here arguing that Superman would be Thanos???

I've yet to see anything different. They do have the birthright book in my local shop...but at the same price they had the whole return of superman and it was about 4 times as thick. I'll be happy to fill you in on any changes once I get the book itself.

Thor is below Nefaria, who maxed out after lifting a mountain. Sundipped Superman moved Warworld with Hypersapce engines.

Sundipped Superman = Much stronger than Thor and thanos.
