Superman wins. He took on bigger fishes and did fine. To fast, to strong and to iconic. Thanos has good durability feats against energybased attacks and he amps his punches but he bleeds quite fast when hit physically and he is to slow to hit Superman often enough to win. Thanos is more like the little brother of Darkseid, powerwise, and even the Avatars of mighty Darkseid went down, especially against an OWAW-state of mind-Superman. OWAW Supes = Intangible, fights smart (power use, damage evasion etc) and does not hold back as much.

A retroactive retcon if there was anything more solid to support this idea other than Bizzaro DD getting owned.

Kal El has shown plenty of that kind of speed before, like the way he owned the Elites, moving fast enough to be invisible and perform other exotic speed feats in a cqc scenario. This speed feat was on the level of his Bizzaro world feat imo.

I think when you compare the feat to the others I think it's on the same level. The way he avoided the OBs in Apokolips Now I would say was also in the same league.

I'm also often circumspect about the validity of certain feats goober but I don't see anything in this story to assume that Supes was amped to the point that his speed was greater, he's moved FTL and done way more exotic things without any help.

Explain which bigger fish he has taken on and we can talk about the circumstances, the opposing character you are choosing to overrate, and a whole lot of other things you are leaving out.

Thanos has reflexes, the skills, durability, is more powerful, has negated speed easily before, has taken on much more powerful characters than Superman. Him being iconic has nothing to do wit anything. It's basically you telling us he wins because he's superman which is against forum rules.

Thanos can imprison Superman within force block just as easily as the Infinity Man imprisoned him.

OWAW's feats and what not pale in comparison to blood and thunder Thor who took on Thanos with the power gem.

You have never presented a good case and then you say things like he's iconic he wins it shows the bias in you.

Thor wasn't able to be ko'd due to what he was doing with the power gem to the point Dr. Strange, an entire team, and the Surfer couldn't even hope to stand against him.

His feats even without the gem leading up to and in the blood and thunder arc make OWAW's feats meek in comparison.

No, I told you why Thanos wins I didn't use his legendary status as a marvel villain to do so. You aren't even smart enough to know what it is you are doing.

It doesn't matter as Thor with the power gem > Superman.

Then back up your claim as I can do the same.

I'd like to hear something which rivals crushing Beta Ray Bill, then crushing the Surfer, then crushing the surfer and warlock. this was all basically in succession. Prior to this he stalemated Drax with the power gem because he couldn't ko him due to him tapping into the power gem, dominating the Superskrull(yeah not impressive but I'll mention it anyways), and dominating Ares and Pluto who jumped him. He made a death god and a war god feel in terror.

I just did you just refuse to even comment on it. Shields, reactions, skills, more powerful, more durable, can force block him, etc. Take your pick.

So what? This has little to do with anything as Thanos is more powerful than Ds. If you want to prove me wrong please attempt to do so.

At least explain what Superman did in owaw that had you gasping for air.

I never said he did. He was still physically unbeatable and his strength was growing every second hence he had no limits. He was a team wrecker at the point he met up with Thanos and getting stronger. Add the fact he couldn't be ko'd and he's a threat beyond even a sundipped Superman imo.

Now are you ever going to at least explain your case of these owaw feats. I have explained my reasoning and they had nothing to do with Thanos' status as a competent villain.

Like I thought if you are peterlane you don't have the guts to say so and moving on.....the results of my battlezone are fine and dandy. I think most would agree now I was right about Ds's power levels and have since changed their minds. Pis can be a powerful thing when people just refuse to accept the obvious.
