i'm a hell of a lot faster than ronny coleman, but a fistfight would be asinine.
at the end of the day, surfer gets beaten down everytime against thanos, thor pretty much the same, giving superman the benifit of the doubt and saying he does twice as good as they do against thanos still amounts to nothing.

If I believe Forbidden One moved as fast as Superman could then I would say Thanos wins and all this will be over. So you are right, my opinion tells me that Superman can move much faster the first instant (instant speed) and have a much better chance to win.

How fast is Supermans combat speed and when you answer this, please provide a scan proving your case? Dont show me him flying anywhere, I want to see him fighting at such speed.

The fact that Superman can seemingly INSTANTLY move at lightspeed or above proves it. He vibrates through attacks for crying out loud. He instantly exceeds the speed of his HV. This is instant speed. Can Thanos lift his hand to put up a shield before Superman vibrates to him with no time elapse? Not likely.
How am I trolling? Fallen One didn't move as fast as Superman can. If you disagree then feel free to prove it. Show me an instance where Fallen One can achieve light speed within battle distance.
Superman's only chance here is his speed. Without it he loses.
For those who seen Superman's top speed feats along with Thanos feats then it is fair to believe that Superman is fast enough to pop Thanos before he gets a shield up.
Even if Thanos gets a shield up then at most for him it is a stalemate. Because he certainly can't attack with the shield up, nor can he hit Superman if Supes is using his speed to evade the attacks.
Speed is the key! And Superman has it.
