Thanos, without the Infinity Gauntlet, is nowhere in Superman's league. Thanos got killed by Drax, and Superman>Drax.

Ok when has Thanos ever struggled with a top tier ? Also Superman has never bested Orion, ever. Marvel also has gotten the better of him this idea he can surpass these guys when he wants to is just untrue.

Superman is always shown to be peers with many strong foes. Whether they are class 80 or not. This is because he holds back (subconsciously and consciously) and the for the sake of the story for adversity. It was stated that WW is stronger than Hercules (her strength is derived from Gaia) and it is stated that Marvel has the strength of Hercules. Superman is stated and shown to be stronger than WW, actually I think I remember it being stated recently that he was the strongest on Earth.
