Thanos vs Superman

Take this with a pinch of salt as I'm not using it as evidence or proof or anything like that, but Peter David who used to write the Hulk was once asked about how Thanos compares to the Hulk in terms of strength and said:

"I specifically(to avoid confusion) asked him if he thought Thanos was on a physical strength level higher than Hulk at any time he was writing(meaning various incarnations). He replied "Yeah, probably. Thanos is kind of in his own weight class." This is the guy who wrote Hulk for 12 years. Nuff said."

Well, nobody knows Hulk better than David. He's one of my favorite writers. 😄

People please stop using Thanos battle against Odin has an indication of Thanos durability. Yes Thanos is uber durable but if odin so wished it Thanos would be dead.

thanos wins, btw. and he's stronger than hulk, but not stronger than savage hulk CAN become.

I don't need to see the scans, ,I have nearly every issue/scan of that series.😬

Now don't get me wrong, I'll be the first to admit that Thanos is an extremely powerful character, whom would easily stomp Superman, Thor, Surfer, etc. However my problem is that people tend to use this fight to boost Thanos while imo he was fighting a character who was letting him live.

Now in this particular fight, Odin isn't his usual galaxy busting self. He talks to Thanos, gives Thanos chances to give in, casually fights against Thanos, etc. Not once in the fight did Odin actually seem enraged. Now you may disagree, but this was obviously a Odin who wasn't going all out.

I'm asking though, do you believe this was Odin fighting at lv's when he was battling against characters such as Forsung, Seth, Infinity, or even Surtur? Imo if Odin was battling at those lv's Thanos wouldn't be here to tell about it.

Like or not, according to previous showings Odin wasn't causing maximum damage.

The reason people use it as a durability feat is because of how easily Odin dismissed Drax and Surfer, two top level characters in the durability department. While Surfer went down to one blast, Thanos was still getting up some 10+ pages later, that is why its a durability feat, it doesn't mean people are putting Thanos on Odin's level.

Take a look back for a sec and read. You'll notice that Thor to easily handled Drax, and Surfer.

However your opinion is respectable.
