i loved phantom, they did an amazing job with the movie.
I never really liked Hermione and Harry together, they just seem like excellent friends. I'm not a big Ron/Hermione fan either, lol. I stopped liking Ginny when she got together with Harry, which is wierd since I'm not nearly an obsessive fangirl. And I think Harry was 16 and Ginny was 15.
So er...is W/E chemistry sucking supposed to not be an insult? I'd hate to see what you actually consider an insult. As for why I am the way I am...I have what are called 'issues'. I seem to have a lot of them, so pin down exactly why I try to piss people off, it would take too long...
As a matter a fact I consider the word sucky as a minor insult. Eye for an eye my dear 😉.
You are not the only one with "issues", we all have them. But that don't mean its ok for any one to put people down or use harsh words against others. I can understand you, I guess we are gonna have to put up with your issues as well.

Would you say that people who prefer these pairings would prefer J/E over W/E? Because I am actually a Raoul/Christine, Faramir and Eowyn, and I don't even care for Ivanhoe. And I'm not for finding any couples in Harry Potter "hot." I'm just 21, but I consider all of them still children.
It all goes to a person's personality, I think. Some people get Jack and Liz more, some people get Will and Liz more. Some unique people get Norrie and Liz more, which I can see, but do not endorse. It's interesting to learn what people prefer and why.

No. I was just thinking about it, realizing that I typically ship underdog/passion without really meaning to. Phases of life, I guess. I just have a really hard time accepting MOST hollywood romances. So i latch on to wierd ones that catch my fancy. My favorite films involve romances that are wierd but intense. Girl With a Pearl Earing, anyone?

well, we have 1 less evil dictator in the world. i think i'm against the death penalty. i was in favor of the idea of teaching him to lay bricks and forcing him to help in the rebuilding of his country. this is bizarre. he's been a huge part of this generation in an awful way.
I don't like the death penalty, kate. Killing one person wont bring back the lives of others. I know he killed and has impacted the world in an evil way. I just wished he would've had the chance to see "the light" before he was executed.

On Saddam -- I despise the death penalty, but in certain cases, I understand the need for it. In this case, I think it was important to have happen.

Kate: Where did I come up with Lottie? Yes, I meant Meg. I'm horrible with names. The Phantom and Meg...the blonde one in the movie. I always thought how fun it would be for them to hook up, even if there's no canon basis for it.
I don't like slash when people insist it's canon...I like it when people acknowledge that it is 'AU' (alternate universe), because to take someone else's work and make such a huge change is a bit more than taking creative license.
Also, I despise Real Person Fics, especially slash ones, and refuse to read them. There's something really wrong with writing about people you don't know, and making them into something they aren't. I've gotten into lots of arguments about whether RPF should even be published.
I know, I know...I argue about a lot of things. 😛
As far as shipping goes, if there's a book involved and I've read it, I'm more likely to ship based on what I've read rather than the film...such as, Aragorn and Arwen really work in Lord of the Rings, even though their romance is pretty much only in the Appendix of the novel (have you read that story? So, so lovely...).
And don't get me started on Jo and Laurie from Little Women. I got so tired of people who never bothered to read the book...meh, I won't rant about that particular subject. 😛
Willo: I've often wondered myself about ships, but I still think that in films, it's usually, at the most base level, how attractive you find the actors.
This does not mean that all other arguments are invalid 'cause you find Johnny Depp really cool/sexy/likeable as Jack Sparrow, or that I find Orlando Bloom as cool/sexy/likeable as Will Turner...it just means we go with the pairing that we are more attracted to.
I don't think I've seen anyone who ships J/E as admitting that they find Orlando/Will as being hotter/cooler/more likeable than Johnny/Jack, and I think if you check the W/E people, you would find that all if not most of their opinions would be flipped.
I could be wrong. Does anyone who ships J/E find Will more attractive than Jack?
I'm not trying to debate, but I am trying to see if my theory is right.
