During that period of time especially, Superman was at the top of the pile. OWAW, with him destroying probes left and right and centering all over him...He's probably more formidable than your average top tier.

But shouldn't have been on the Darkseid/Thanos level.

I get that Superman may become insanely powerful somewhere in the future, I agree that Loeb is a crap writer and it was pure nonesense, but still this means to me that DS is being downgraded.

Maybe the OE was stopped by Supes not because of the Source but because he, like Imperiex, has just passed beyond Darkseid's powerlevel. I dont actually think this is right, but its a bit sad.

No. I actually think one of my first posts on these forums was that people always say it's an avatar, when it's never been stated as such except on one or two occasions. I hate to be an *******, but I think it's honestly just something the fans say to try and keep DS's stock up. Maybe it's because Thanos has clones as well, and they wanna be able to say the same thing, or something of the sort. Even if that is the case, at least it's mentioned in Thanos' appearances when it's a clone.

In my opinion, DS fans just need to feel blessed. Thanos lost to Squirrel Girl. 🙁

Superman has the capacity to beat pretty much anyone, him beating someone doesn't mean anything as to their stature or power.

Outside of those showings, Darkseid is vastly above conventional heros. Hell, he's even portrayed above the gods, like Odin, Zues, etc.

My first assessment when the forum made fun of me still stands. Superman's heat vision is part of him. And thus protected as well. ANy thing I said after that may have been me getting confused or reacting to any statements. It happens. As it stands, Superman is protected by the source. Case and point is closed.

Do you have on panel proof about the omega effect erasing or failing to erase people by having contact with energy beams that they produce? (This is not a smart remark, I can see that happen so I ask)

I have NEVER seen the Omega effect blocked by any energy as They have these finder beams that go out first and then contact. I don't know if the writer just didn't do research or what the hell that was. Superman has been hit by the Omega beams before. He's even commented that just being near DS energy hurts him.

Yeah, it could be the writer, sadly its cannon and now it opens a whole lot of posibilities. The OE never passed through a shield or anything like that?
