What's so bad about X-2?
- The gameplay is awesome
- The character designs are awesome
- The CG is flawless
- The plot is very captivating
- The game is really, really vast
- The fights are hard as hell
The only thing I find wierd about it is that there are all these pointless side quests. I also wish I could've played as Nooj or Baralai. Those guys were kickass.

Okay, keep in mind that I liked X-2. Wasn't great, but I liked it.
- Gameplay sucked majorly. End of.
- The costume designs were pretty damn awesome and I love most of them. Character designs themselves weren't bad. But they weren't terribly amazing.
- CG wasn't any better than FFX. It was inferior in many places, in fact.
- Plot was only introduced halfway and even though I liked it, had very little to actually do with the game. Which was, in my mind, the worst part about the game. What's the point if the plot is irrelevant and you can get through the game having hardly encountered it at all?
- The game is vast, but if you're not compelled to actually GO anywhere, no point in that.
- Went fast, yes, but that's not necessarily a good thing.
- The fights were stupidly easy. Like, really, really easy. As in, I'd be able to hand the controller to my 5 year old sister and she'd be able to defeat the final boss with no trouble.

I know gaming is all about opinion.
But I cannot understand a declaration that the cgi is flawless- it's really NOT as good as X or even VIII.
And... the fights are the easiest I have ever played in FF. For sure.
You're speaking of Vegnagun. Try fighting the bosses in Bevelle Underground O.o
As for the CGI...how on Earth is X-2 worse than FFX? Do you two need glasses? I see NOTHING wrong with the CGI in X-2. Some of X's CG scenes were a bit blurry. X-2's CGI wasn't like that at all. Also, X-2 came out several years after X. That tells me X-2's CGI is slightly better.
The gameplay in X and X-2 isn't that great when comparing them to action-based games such as Kingdom Hearts II and Ninja Gaiden Black. For a turn-based RPG, both are pretty much the same, and equally as fun IMO. XIII will be an action RPG rather than a turn-based one. I think that's going to be my fave FF game to play.

Bevelle Underground wasn't terribly hard. Not to mention so boringly tedious that who the hell really cares enough to get all the way to the bottom?
I wear glasses, thanks, and my eyesight is perfectly fine with them. Just because X-2 came out later does not mean the CGI is automatically better. It wasn't. It should have been...but it wasn't. There's really no reason for it.
The gameplay in X was pretty damn good. Definitely the best up until XII was made (and FFXII gameplay pretty much blows all other FFs out of the water as far as I'm concerned). X-2's gameplay wasn't that bad compared to, say, VIII, but coming on the heels of X? Sucked horribly.
A lot of people care...that's like saying who cares about going to find all of the Dark Aeons in FFX and beating them...
I'll drop the CG debate because anyone with fairly good eyesight would say that X and X-2's CG are on par. That is, when comparing the best CG scenes from both games.
That's opinion 🙄 . Some people will prefer the Sphere Grid over the Garment Grid, and vice versa. The Garment Grid system is just more sophisticated and it took me some time to get. I like how Yunna Riku and Paine can change into different costumes in the middle of a battle.
