I'm not mad at you, chiki. Not mad at all about the spoiler. Honestly, the way people were talking about it, I had a guess on what you were going to tell me. I just think you're letting yourself get depressed when there's no need. Keep talking about your favorite things with us.
I have another favorite thing: I watched DMC with the commentary for the first time (not all of it, just certain scenes 😉 and I have two favorite moments.
1. The nerdier of the two writers is talking and the more outspoken one shushes him in the Tortuga scene. "Sh! It's Jack Davenport!" The other guy just laughs. I think they have a very soft spot. I didn't know "someplace nice" was Jack Davenport's adlib.
2. Duh, the kiss! Oh man. While I find the commentary about "curiosity" very interesting, the kiss is really neat because one of the writers says something I never thought about.
"This kind of recalls the first time they met and he was shackled and he used her to get OUT of them."
Why do all the good J/E moments involve bondage?
3. This is my all-time favorite line because I'm a hard-core Liz fan. I'm rooting for her, guys. I think she's awesome. Anyway, they're talking about the different ways they thought up for her to get from prison to Tortuga and this is during the dress scene.
"We realized an actual act of piracy had to be committed on her part."
"Yeah, people are going to tell this story as Elizabeth hijacking this ship without even firing a shot. Who does THAT sound like?"

1) I love Jack smirks, I love all his smiles. So rouguish and hot.
2) Will's eyeborow acting
3) Will immitating Jack
4) The way Gibbs says "sea turtles"
5) The little music they put when they swing on the bone cage.
6) How Jack likes using his tongue alot
7) The kiss--you can see Johnny's tongue.
8) When Gissele shows up because she plays the Orbit Gum Chick 🙂

I love the intensity in Norrington's face when he tells Gibbs about his angst. Real great drunken angst, and Jack's reaction is perfect.
I may have said this before, but I love how Jack simply meditates while he makes Norrie dig up the chest.
Jack, Liz, and Norrie standing over the chest. I love that shot. So comprehensive and simplistic, yet conveys everything.
Oh, one more interesting commentary that I liked. It shows Jack and Co. rowing up to the Isla de Cruces and the writers say how afraid Jack seems and it's because he knows the kracken could come. Well, they talk about how he doesn't risk Gibbs or any of the crew members he really likes. He takes Liz because he has to take Liz, but he takes Pintel, Ragetti, and Norrington. It's funny because in Jack's mind, they're the 3 most expendable people.
Because the compass was pointing there?
Someone else watch the version with commentary during the scene where Jack's playing with his compass saying he knows what he wants. The writers confuse me a little here. They're saying if it were definitely Elizabeth he wanted, the arrow would change directions in such a way to suggest that Jack would know she was on his way to him. They're saying yeah, he wants her, but he doesn't want to want her. That part I understand.
How could he know by an arrow going in a circle that she was coming to him? He's traveling all the time and she could be traveling anywhere. He might be able to figure out she's moving around, but coming to him? That would just be wishful thinking wouldn't it?
I LOVE the idea of wanting her but not wanting to want her. Denying one's self in movies is kind of fun for me to watch. I like to see people crack and/or bite off more than they thought they could chew.

and that last one was just plain funny because it's soooo true he could careless about thoses 3....except for Elizabeth though, i bet he was like dont want to hurt her...but she has to come along anyway cause she is the only one he trusts with the compass!
Yeah, the writers made it clear how important it was that Jack lets her keep the compass. They made that a point, so that was intriguing, and then they say that he only took her because he had to. They didn't flat-out say so, but I suspect he's more protective of her than he lets on. We all say that Will would be the one to tie her down and Jack would let her be free, but I think here he really wants to protect her. It's my theory he gives her the compass because he's tired of having it and he trusts her not to lose it, but isn't it strange he doesn't ask for it back? He takes her with him.
Yes and that way when he has no choice but tell Lizzie he loves her cause he wont have that stupid compass to confuse him anymore! 😮
I wonder though, if in AWE we'll finally see him hold the compass and we'll actually see the needle point to Liz like we saw the needle point to Jack when liz was holding it in DMC!!! That would be like Heart Stopping...😱
