Correct........Satan was a title that was instituted during the "Jewish wars" as mentioned by Josephus..his works and volumes.. ... and this was the same time that the authors of the NT were written...Satan only means deceiver or one against another................Lucifer has nothing to do with this..........
I have a book called A Dictionary of Angels, written by Gustave Dore, and it says that Lucifer was misinterpreted to be Satan after reading Isiah 14:12, which says "How art thou fallen from Heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning." This actually refers to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. I think Satan and Lucifer are both considered fallen angels. Just a thought.
