actually even if the 4th is dead. kishimoto has made a HUGE fuss about him and uchiha madara/history of shaaringan/kyuubi . i mean these are the hey points that kishi HAS to address in the manga. and itl probably be a bang each one. i dont think its coincidence either. naruto's true lineage history is already NOT addressed by him to add to the suspence and i think its a lil silly to say "yondaime is dead, get over it"
I think if Sasuke does kill Itachi it'll be because Itachi lets Sasuke. Or maybe Itachi will help Sasuke against Pain and then end up dying and Sasuke will find out he has the 8 tailed demon inside him.....Or maybe Itachi will just die saving Sasuke from Pain which is probably more likely than the last scenario.
Maybe he didn't really kill the clan and to protect Sasuke he accused himself so Sasuke wouldn't go after the real villain and he couldn't go back to Konoha after that so he decided to join Akatsuki...Or maybe one of the Akatsuki members did it and he's there just to get closer to the one who did it. Or maybe he joined hoping to find the person seeing as how they are recruiting strong people.
Yea from what has been shown of Itachi he doesn't seem like the guy to kill a clan just to see how strong he is then not kill Kakashi, or Asuma, or Kurenai when he had the chance. Didn't kill Sasuke who just happened to be away at the time the clan was destroyed either. Unless he's changed over the years being in an evil organization which would be odd to become nice being with one.

i dont think they will fight again because their really is no reason for thtem to fight again other than fans wanting to see it. and think about it if naruto does winn that fight which as of right now i highly doubt what is to stop sasuke from leaving the village again
I don't think Sasuke will go back to the village anyway. If Naruto does win the fight then after he wins he'll get blitzed by "The Ultimate Evil", and right before he dies I think Sasuke will jump in, and either sacrifice himself or help defeat TUE.
Think about it, pretty much everyone except Kakashi and Sasuke have something to do after Shippuden. One way or another Itachi will die, and then what? The entire Sasuke character was built around avenging the deaths of the Uchiha clan. Kakashi has done as much training as a mentor as he can, and with his three most prodigious students all sorted out there's really no need for him to stick around. Naruto on the other hand still hasn't achieved his goal of becoming Hokage and with Sakura there's still the potential love interest between her and either Naruto or Rock Lee.
And I think that there is a large chance of a round two between Naruto and Sasuke. What is Naruto's primary goal in Shippuden? To bring Sasuke back in any way he can. So with him being the main character and all Sasuke and Naruto's paths have to cross eventually, and we all know Sasuke won't come back without a fight.
Maybe Naruto will finally realized that Sasuke isn't being controlled and will let him go on his own? Then again maybe that's giving Naruto way to much credit to let Sasuke choose something himself seeing as how he should have figured out Sasuke isn't being controlled except by his want for revenge.
were all forgetting urochimaru here. there is no way in HELL he wont make a HUGE comeback. afterall seeing as hebi members were SURPRISED that sasuke had such a hard time with diedara{even with his final explosion which was monstrous} and seemed to find it humourous in comparison to urochimaru. i cant wait to see what the bastard snake does.
plus im really fealing the absence of the other characters that made pre shippuden WARM and wirth seeing. i mean every 1 od the other konoha shinobi makes sumthing like a guest appearance but cant get enough screen time due to their being so many villians in akatsuki now.
i mean sai is sorta forgotten. rock lee is well a back character, hinata and her fealings about naruto, where the fug did that take a back seat, neiji, shikamaru{he DID get some screen time but again, other than FIGHTs, and clarifications of akatsuki intentions, theres hardly any konoha gossip time, funny stuff or ichiraku}, chouji, kiba/akamaru, ino, jiraya, gaara, bug guy.
i think those are the things that are taking away from what made naruto great and unique to begin with. and is it just me, or is there a lot less od DATTEBAYO flying around these days.{thats what happens when you try to introduce so many new characters with virtually no past explained in akatsuki}. and also, the kyuubi should get WAY more time then its getting.

I completely agree one hundred percent. I don't like Shippuden that much at all. It's too short and Konoha as a whole is pretty much forgotten. Even Sakura has taken a backseat. It reminds me of Dragonball GT. Everyone except the main character and maybe two others are pretty much forgotten.

Well maybe we might get to see more of Hinata/Naruto interaction now that Sasuke/Deidara fight is over. And hopefully Shino and her will get some good fight scenes also. Shino is vastly underused and he needs more than just taking on Kankuro. Kiba and Akamaru really need something also. They way they lost to Naruto was pathetic and they did the worse against the sound ninja. They need to show what they can do now that Akamaru if grown up.
Ino never had much anyway going for her but I would like Chouji to get more screen time. Not to fight just for Chouji to be Chouji.
As for Orochimaru....His body is taking over Kabuto and his mind is trapped inside Sasuke....he'll probably make a big come back either before Akatsuki is destroyed or after and be the main villain again to start a new arc.
Orochimaru has to come back sometime. And Kabuto ran off to get stronger. Either Orochimaru or Kabuto is going to have to come in and Akatsuki is almost dead so I think it'll be after Akatsuki is beaten. Orochimaru needs to get revenge or try anyway. Or Kabuto needs to do something at least. That would probably be the next Arc. The whole Kabuto/Orochimaru thing and Orochimaru's mind inside Sasuke thing.
